Frozen Yogurt - (low fat)
- 3 c. strained low-fat or nonfat strained yogurt or Greek-style yogurt
- ¾ c. splenda
- 1 t. vanilla

Mix yogurt, sweetener, and vanilla until sweetener is dissolved. Refrigerate 1 hour. Freeze in ice cream maker.

I will use nonfat (or maybe just low fat) plain yogurt.. strained. Greek yogurt would work great too. The original recipe uses full-fat yogurt but some of the comments note that low-fat and nonfat work as well. I would think the thick Greek-style yogurt works better than just regular plain yogurt.

ahhhhh you must try this! i have been making this recipe since i first ran across it on the internet a few months ago, and it is SOOOOOOOOOOO good and really easy. however, mine didnt freeze well at all. it became hard as a rock. but eating it right from the maker or after freezing for a little while is so yummy. i have been using fat free greek yogurt and it is a great texture and really creamy. ive never mixed anything else into it, but it seems like it would be a good base for anything!

I love bananas but I thought you were not to have them on phase 1 or 2 of this diet. 8)

Bananas are fine for Phase 2. You are correct about Phase 1 - no fruit at all. Bananas were added to the Phase 2 list quite a while back. A medium is one fruit serving.

Nice except that has nothing to do with being a SB friendly recipe! And what effort? you simply copied and pasted it in from the website! ;)

That is truly our effort because we make and designed that site.
