Two weeks today 17 lbs lighter?

Postby Chargersman » Tue May 15, 2007 5:37 pm

Is 17lbs too much too fast?

The book says to expect 8-13lb loss in two weeks on P1. Should I be concerned about yo-yoing? Last time I did this diet I lost about 12lbs in two weeks. I am working out more than before and started lifting some light weights 3 times a week bust certainly didn't expect to lose this much.

Tomarrow I start adding some fruit and whole grains so I would expect the weight loss to taper off a bit.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

C-man

:D

That is fabulous I did SB in December and lost 15lbs and I am doing this again and adding some light exercise. I hope to see those same results. Good luck.

Chargersman..make sure starting phase 2 that you add either a fruit or a grain a day..not both. You should do that for a week that add the other one. The name of the game is to add slowly and to see if any of the foods your introducing causes cravings. 17 pounds in 2 weeks is awesome...excellent job!

That's great advice, Maria. This is my 2nd time on the Beach and I know from experience I have to be very very careful, but I think my main problem is grains. Only one a day, I think, is all I can safely have. I like your advice, though, and will try it.

Thats quite incredible. I think you might be losing so fast because you are including exercise, the diet in the book is sans exercise.
Great job!

C-man,

I, too, lost 17 pounds in the two weeks of P1. I think it was largely due to how badly I ate prior to starting SBD. I ate lots of white flour, starchy, and sugary foods, and as soon as I eliminated those foods, the pounds just flew off. My weightloss did slow down in P2 (I would think your body would go into shock if it conitnued to lose that fast for a long period of time), but reamins steady most of the time. I have also found that if I "fall off the wagon" a little bit, I don't need to go back to P1 the way some people do, I just jump right back in where I left off. I think this, also, is thanks to the overall incredibly healthy change in my eating habits. Good luck w/ P2!
