One Year with the South Beach Diet!

Postby DaniellaBella85 » Sun May 14, 2006 7:06 pm

It's been almost a year since I started the South Beach Diet. I started at 205, and lost 50 pounds in the first 6 months. After that, I just stuck to phase 2... (sort of phase 3, I cheated sometimes) and I lost 20 more pounds and I now currently flucuate between 130 and 135. I've never gained a pound on SBD, and I love the whole diet! I'm usually on phase 3, although sometimes if I feel like I've been losing control of my eating habits, I'll stick strictly to early phase 2 (one or two carbs and fruits a day) or I'll go to phase 1 for 2 or 3 days, just to get my body back into a routine.

I hope that anyone who's ever thinking of quitting, doesnt! Because I lost 70lbs, and I feel so great! :)

I just wanted to share, and give people some positive re-inforcement!
Start date: Feb. 17th, 2010 - Weight: 160lbs
Goals: March 1st - 155lbs -- *Achieved my first goal February 26th!*
March 12th (my baby turns 3!) - 150lbs

Truely inspiring - where I want to be a year from now!! Your start weight is very close to mine and I planned for 50 lb loss in the first year, but it is going so well that I may be able to manage to drop my initial goal - would love to be back to 135 lbs!!

Thanks for sharing - great to know it can be done!!

That's fantastic. Gives me lots of hope as right now I am 206 and my goal is 135.
How did you celebrate the goal achievement?

I didn't really celebrate it, I just always treat myself, which I think is KEY. I set out to do something, and if I can do it, I can do something I really want, or buy something thats a little more expensie than I'd usually spend! ... but only if I do it TO a tee...

I usually eat, pretty much well... but not always THE best, I just stick to the main goals, Whole Wheat, Low Fat, Least amount of Sugar as possible. But when I had a goal to achieve, I was VERY strict on myself, I was tired of feeling the way I did, because I knew I was in there somewhere waiting to bust out!

:)

Wow. You're hot! Thanks for the encouragement! I'm on day 6 of PH 1 and really needing it right now. I have a closet full of clothes that would fit you now

Hopefully they'll fit me again soon!
