hodgson mills insta-bake?

Postby theresa525 » Sat Apr 07, 2012 2:28 am

Hi! I am just starting phase 2...I am a little frustrated b/c I haven't lost anything in over a week. I keep reminding myself any loss is better than a gain! Anyway, I am slowly adding small amounts of whole grains (ie Hodgson Mills whole grain spaghetti, or a couple of reduced fat triscut). I have only added one a day if any. I bought the Hodgson MIlls Insta-Bake Mix and I just want to be sure it is "safe" on phase 2 on SB? Thanks for any advice!!!! :?

It should be fine, all whole grains and just 1g of fat per serving. Just keep in mind serving sizes when you add your whole grains. I can't find the link to whole grain portions, but somewhere there is a post with all the guidelines. This board went down for a couple of months at one point and when it was revived our very efficient search feature disappeared and was replaced by a very inadequate one. Sad.....

In terms of Phase 2, make sure you're going slowly adding things. Stick to the basics of Phase 1 and add one serving of grain or fruit per week.

It's not unusual to not lose or even gain a pound at the start of P2. They say it's due to replacing your glycogen stores. Keep an eye on your wheat servings, is all I know to say, and you're doing that. It's hard to eat 1/2 cup of spaghetti etc. Well, it's hard for ME
