This site is as good as any and the best part, it's FREE!
So, welcome to the Forum! Please read as much as you can from our files, read old post and learn about this diet before posting questions that might have been asked before.

Good luck and let us know your progress!

You can keep a journal here in the Journals area to enter that type of information for your own use, but you might want to look into something like fitday.com or sparkpeople.com as well. Although neither of those are specifically SBD related. Advice and support are what you make of it. Ultimately you are responsible for your own actions, health and well being. No amount of advice or support from people on a message board is going to change that. I have seen people leave and give up because they didn't get what they felt was "enough" support here. To me that's just another excuse and playing the "blame game" towards others to avoid their own responsibilities and decisions and it's easier to say "I didn't get the support I needed" than to face the reality of your own responsibility for your own actions and life. No matter what message board or online tools you use, you have to own your own health and how you choose to life your life each and every day.

But there are lots of people going through the same thing here at any point in time. They tend to congregate in the Phase 1 forum and form groups to support each other as they move forward. The information within the P1 and P2 FAQ topics is as current and good as any other message board or the official SBD pay site. The food and recipe area here is probably one of the better ones on the web as far as providing lots of good SB friendly recipes and ideas. "Best" is always in the eye of the beholder. This message board is what it is. Others are what they are as well. Whether it is the best one for you is something only you can determine.

Welcome aboard Jack,

My wife and I have been on SBD for about four months now, and are very comfortable with the way of eating. I don't keep a journal, but I have found these boards to be of great help in several areas
There is a great deal of information about the regimin available here that is either glossed over or not really covered in the book.
There is updated information on the value of various foods.
There are good recipes for SB friendly cooking.
There is the camaraderie of other people going through the same phases, challenges and successes.
It is a great source for answers to any questions that you may have.
The Mods and several of the posters are great sources of information.
Thanks again to all of you.
