Fell off the wagon

Postby toshia1234 » Sat Jun 23, 2012 10:35 am

I have a had a bad couple of weeks. I have gained 6 lbs back in the time. I need advice on what to do. Do I do phase one for a couple of days? I also just started excercising. I do Zumba for 20 minutes a day.

My big question is I tend to eat the same things everyday, Do I need to change my proteins and veggies on a regular basis in order to not stall my weight loss? The big issue is I only really like green beans, celery, and romaine so that makes it hard to change veggies.

You probably should go back to Phase 1 for a few days or a week, depending on how long it takes for your cravings to go away. You'll probably see a drop of water weight, which will make you feel better.

Eating only 3 different vegetables is going to make following any healthy eating plan really difficult. I'd advise you to explore new vegetables and new cooking methods. Vegetables can be really delicious if prepared properly. If you're used to boiled or microwaved waterlogged veggies, I don't really blame you. Try some veggies roasted in a little olive oil, or try shredding a selection of raw veggies for a nice slaw. The more interesting you can make them, the easier it will be for you to stick with a healthy eating plan.

I agree with Chris-- variety is really helpful both for nutrition and keeping things interesting.
My FAQ-- food lists, portion guidelines, etc.
