I have a lot of weight to lose and if we are supposed to stay on Phase 2 until we lose all we want, that means no indulgences (for me that means something like cake) for a very long time. I don't think I can do that. Does anyone do the diet but occasionally splurge while still trying to lose weight? I know on Phase 3 you can do that, but does anyone do it on Phase 2 and still do fine? I'm thinking of having a small piece of homemade cake soon. My hormonal cravings are really intense.

I think this recent thread might be helpful. Not the same question, but some similar topics come up in the responses.

Thanks Kimboroni. I can definitely relate to how that person was feeling. I feel the exact same way.

I think you have to know who you are. I know that if I indulge in something sweet, I cant just have it one time. It will turn into again and again and again. Lately for me a cheat will be when going to a mexican restaurant...actually eating some of the chips and salsa before my tortilla-less fajita.
If you think you can just truly indulge once safely...then I dont see anything wrong with it. In fact....the first time around when I did this diet...after losing my 1st 30 lbs...every friday was my cheat night.( Not all day) just ome meal, it never hindered my weight loss. I ended up losing 75 lbs.
Good luck!!
