Hi...my name is Lindsey. I started this diet 7 days ago and I feel lost or wondering if I have done these first seven days correctly. I read up thoroughly before starting and got fully prepared with my foods and meals but I have seen no difference. The only thing was the weird taste in my mouth and being constipated the whole week. I even fully read this this forum before posting. I don't know maybe I havejust hit the halfway mark of phase one and was expecting more. Im loving the foods and feeling im being healthier than ever............just dont know. Any insight or words of wisdom would be much appreciated. Thanks for listening

The weird taste in your mouth and constipation can be symptoms of ketosis, from not getting enough carbs-- make sure you're eating LOTS of vegetables (including some beans/legumes) and getting your 2 cups of dairy.
What does a typical day look like as far as food? Make sure to list amounts.
Remember that the main point of p1 is to break the bad carb craving cycle, not weight loss.

Hello thanks so much for responding.
Every morning I have had three scrambled eggs with about tbsp 1% milk added
Snack 10 dry roasted peanuts and either a dill pickle or ham and cheese roll
Lunch either chicken or fish and a cup veg
Snack same as first
dinner chicken or fish and 1-2 cups veggies
Dessert unsweetened cocoa splenda tbsp peanut butter 2 tsp 1% milk vanilla
that is pretty much a days worth for me

You definitely need a lot more vegetables-- at least a half cup at breakfast; at least 2 cups at lunch (include a half cup of beans/legumes as part of that); and at least 2 cups at dinner (plus another serving of beans/legumes). I would also add some veggies to your snacks.
It looks like you're only having 1 Tbsp plus 2 tsps of dairy if I'm reading that right (it was a little confusing what your dessert was). Dairy is just milk and yogurt for SB, not cheese.
