Fruit In Phase 1

Postby Bowlr » Wed Aug 22, 2012 11:18 pm

Hey, so far I have been following the diet well and am on my 8th day in phase 1. I have cheated with fruit that is the only thing I have cheated with. I have a few peices of watermelon and a peach. Is this bad? Does this mean my diet is ruined and it won't work anymore?

Fruit is removed for p1 to help get rid of cravings, so you might not have complete success in that regard. But there are also a lot worse foods that you could have had. There's not much you can do about it now. Just refocus and get back on p1. Try to figure out how to avoid that situation for next time.

As far as it not "working," it really only stops working if you quit. It's working when you are getting healthier. Only time will tell on that one. Just make sure you are thinking of it as a long-term food makeover, not a quickie diet.

I totally agree with Kimboroni about the diet not being a quick fix.

This time around I realize I'll have to eat this way for the rest of my life, and that's ok with me. I'm so tired of going on and off diets. This has got to be a lifestyle.
