Good morning everyone

Ok, very frustrating, we seem to be yo-yo'ing tending to not follow so well on the weekends, this last week was awful (we also celebrated both daughters birthdays , thats no excuse but it happened) and both hubby and I gained weight, it wasn't just the weekend though, all week we would have a forbidden snack here and there , obviously here and there adds up. I am so upset with this weight gain but I will start anew today and back to Phase 1 to retrain my cravings. 1.5 pounds up for me and 4.6 pounds up for hubby. We both know we are just not following , I have come so far and don't want to gain back the 10 plus pounds I have lost so need to get serious now until Christmas. I hope everyone else is doing well. Good luck this week.

Hi DRM

Don't be discouraged. Just pick up where you left off :) We all make mistakes, trick is to leave the mistakes behind. Strive for improvements, not perfection :)

It was a good week, but this week coming will be even better :) I think I would get SO much further if I would exercise and drink enough water, but sadly these are two areas that need improvement in my life. I hope you all are doing well.

Thank you HeidiG your comments help to support and reaffirm why I joined this group. Today has gone amazingly well, considering the Halloween treats I hid 1st thing this morning (didn't have any) . I have not craved today and got up exercised for 45 minutes and then have eaten all (and only what) is on day 1 of phase 1. Each day at a time I guess. Thanks again.

Hello All,
Hey missheatherrenee and DRM hang in there - it is tough sometimes but think of all the good things that are happening to your body by eating well and excercising - it may not show as quick as you'd like but it will...trust me!!

I have been doing really well - even through Halloween  I sniched a bit of candy!

SW: 178.5 lbs (Sept 7/09)
CW: 155.5 lbs (Nov 1/09)
GW: 130 lbs (March 2010 or sooner)

I hope all is well with everyone! I am finding the weight loss much slower in P2. But I have heard the slower it comes off the better chance it has of staying off :D That makes me happy!

MG #1: 150 lbs (Dec 28/09)
MG#2: 140 lbs (wedding day weight) Feb 16/10
CW: 142 lbs (June 13/10)
GW: 130 lbs
36.5 lbs down 12 left!!

WOW I am blown away by the commitment of all of you. It is inspirational and I thank you .
I apoligize for not posting in the last few days. My life has been very stressful with my job and taking care of my mom. I think I have had 14 hours of sleep in the last 5 days. But, it is okay, life can always be worse, so my mother used to say.

At this time, I don't have time to respond personally to all of the new Angels that have joined the group, but, hopefully in the next few days I will. I know you have been in good hands with all the great encouragement from Heidi and Dakotabear7 and all the others who have shared. I think the best part is that we are all here to support each other. No matter what your goal, each of us know and feel the challenge it is every day, every meal, every stress motivated cheat....and it is wonderful to be able to share that with friends who understand how hard it really is.

I am weighing in, one day late....I guess I am on Heidi's time, not a bad place to be. 10 minutes before I posted my first post, I weighted 232.6....that was my motivation. This morning I weighted 224.6, a difference of 8 pounds. Although, this looks satisfactory, I must be honest and say, there were times it was just too late or I was just too tired to fix myself a correct meal. But, I will take the 8 and strive to be better at this program through the week, as my life calms down.

Good luck to all, and I hope as you have time you continue to share your goals and experiences with everyone.

And, if there is anyone reading these posts, it is not too late to join us, you are a welcome friend.

Great job catchthewind! Really, really good. Just the fact that you stayed on the program under such an amount of stress speaks volumes. So many (myself included) would have used that as an excuse to quit and strayed away from the program. I admire your commitment.

Hope you will be able to catch up on the sleep. Sleep is so important for weight loss, and of course for stress relief. Take care :)

Catchthewind,

I must say I am impressed! Even though you did not do the program perfectly, you still managed an eight. GREAT JOB! I hope your life calms down soon :)

Hi Stillhave hope and welcome. Don't worry about 25 pounds. It is really 1 to 25 pounds group so even a small loss is a great thing. At least no gain. Heidi - you did so well ! Good for you. Catch the wind - that is a miracle that you lost so much weight with eveything going on. I am proud of you. To every one who lost 1 or more pounds this week, I give a big cheer ! To the others who are discouraged about no or little loss or going off of the path. Don't worry ! We all do that. The secret is to just keep chugging along ! As a friend of mine always says - progress not perfection. There is always next week !!

To all that are staying on course I applaud you, thanks to Heidi for your encouragement and to catchthewind....many prayers and encouragement to you for everything you are going through. Way to go on your 8 pound loss. I am continuing to struggle with the halloween treats still in the house, but I AM doing my work-outs every morning and eating the proper foods throughout the day. Hopefully I will do ok this week. Good luck to everyone and welcome to the new people joining this challenge you will find lots of support here :)

Hello All,
Well I had been doing well over Halloween and then sniched a whole pile of little chocolate bars.....they're so little that they're ok right?? Oh well, tomorrow is another day!!

sunflower-09 - I have to admit that I have only exercised 3 times so far on SB and I'm embarassed to admit that!! That is one of my goals but it is a bit tricky. I am on maternity leave and have a 2 1/2 year old and a 5 month old at home with me all day! It is challenging but doable (is that a word)?? haha I plan my meals ahead and eat lots of veggies and lots of water!!

catchthewind - I can understand the stress part of not wanting to stay true to SB. I barely ever get to sleep through the night (at times I am up multiple times), I am a stress eater so that doesn't help, we farm in Sk, Canada and the weather is cold and moist so we are still not done harvest - which is usually done in early to mid October, and my husband can eat whatever he wants and not gain at all!! It isn't fair!! Anyway, cudos to you for sticking with the plan in some form. Just remember that the stress will always be there in some shape or form....do you want the weight to be?? Do this for yourself...you deserve it!!

I am impressed with all the committment to exercise!! Awesome job!!

feeboo12 - I would eat more if I were you and as long as the food you eat is ok on Phase 1 (or 2) you should be fine! Don't starve yourself, eat until satisfied. When I ate more of the good stuff I lost more weight! I know it doesn't sound logical but it worked for me.
