Hi, I started doing the elliptical with zero resistance and on a manual flat route at 15 min about 5 months ago. I now do the machine for 30 - 40 min at 8 resistance in cross training mode (mode 5 on the Precore). It just take time to build up your stamina. You may already be there but if not don't worry just do what you can. My advice would be to set a goal each week to add a min or 5 and keep building from there..whatever works for you.
