I'm part of the cysterhood too. :) After a week, I think I see improvement in my skin. Seems like I always have blemishes but they seem to be clearing.

Since starting SBD again my PCOS has gotten so much better.
SInce i was about 19 I hadn't gotten my period on my own EVER.

Now I'm off birth control and I was scared I wouldn't get it at all - but now with my diet in check I'm getting it normally like everyone else!

WOO.

Since I have been on SB, my period is still missing in action. I am just chalking it up to my body figuring out what the heck is going on!

Nika--I haven't had a regular period on the Beach yet either. I did get pg six weeks after I started, but I had a miscarriage. I have said improvements in other PCOS symptoms: my hair isn't as thin, my skin is clearer, my anxiety is totally under control, and of course, I am losing weight.

Howdy to all ya'll! I just joined. My OB/GYN told me I need to get on the SBD. I'm happy to see so many of you with great results. I have PCOS and have been struggling with my weight. This will be my first week of SBD. Wish me luck!

Update--I have had two, consecutive OVULATORY cycles without meds! Woo-hoo! I did ovulate late (day 30), but I think that even that will improve if I keep going. Yee-haw!

Good luck everyone! Remember, you cannot defeat PCOS, but you sure can give it a run for its money.

I love this forum! I have support not only in my weight loss efforts but also in my PCOS. I have been having signs of PCOS since I was 19, but it wasn't until this last month that I got the actual diagnosis. I am hoping that the SBD will help with regulating my periods and such. I am in a dilema though. I want a baby so bad but I know that it won't be a healthy pregnacy until I loose significant weight. Since I haven't ovulated in like a year, I am thinking I don't have to worry. However, I have read so many stories from you guys that you started ovulating once on the SBD. How long were you on the SBD before you started having normal periods? Should I use protection for a while until I get some weight off to help with the pregnancy? I am so new to all this...so confused! Thanks for the advice!
