I am really excited. I am starting the SBD tomorrow, and I just got back from the store where I bought tons of "legal" supplies. I weighed myself this morning, and I was up to 213!!!! I thought I only weighed 210...I am disgusted with myself. I always told myself I would never get over 200, and when I did I was mad, but I didn't do anything about it until I was around 205. I got down to 193 by dieting and exercising, but that didn't last long  :( So now I am almost 22 and ready to change my life for good. After reading all of the posts I am very inspired and excited. I can't wait to see the weight come off. :!: |

I woke up this morning at 6:00am got ready and then made myself the "Easy asparagus and mushroom omelet" which was delicious. I also had 6oz of V8 which was DISGUSTING!!! but I am gonna keep drinking it, maybe I will get used to it :?
When I got to school (its the first day of summer school for me) our teacher announced that his wife had baked us all banana nut/ chocolate chip muffins for our first day....I was so mad.... I wanted to eat one but I didn't...instead I reached for my trusty STRING CHEESE....YUM! I drank lots of water but started getting hungry around 11:45am.
-----I had a salad with lots of lettuce, a tomato, cheese, mushrooms, and the dressing from page 140 in the original book. I also had a sf jello cup. Is that too much???
-----Tonight's dinner is mushroom stuffed chicken and broccoli! Sounds good! |

Good job, Its always hard when all these foods are around us. But is the taste really worth how long it takes to get rid of it? Keep up the good work.

| Good Morning! Last night I was making deviled eggs and I had one. Also during the day I was very hungry and I ate another cheese stick. So...I had breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, snack, dinner, dessert, snack. I don't know if this is bad, but I feel guilty. I just don't understand the guidelines. In the book it says "you'll eat plenty of vegetables" but I don't know if there is a limit. I also read people's posts that say you shouldn't feel hungry (the bood says this as well), but I did. I don't know if it is because I always pigged out before starting this diet, so my stomach doesn't get full like this??? Oh well, today's another day. |

I am new to this too Lindsay, but I think the goal is to eat the right foods. If you are hungry you should eat, but be sure to grab that string cheese or the celery, and avoid the sugars. I increased my breakfast this morning to 4 eggs instead of three because three was just not enough to fill me up, but that is better than a sugary cereal that i usually had for breakfast.
As they said in the waterboy movie....."YOU CAN DO IT !!!!!" |

| Lindsey, welcome adn within a day or two you should find you are less and less hungry. If you are still hungry try to take meuslix (spelling) 15 minutes before a meal. It comes in capsules. It will help you feel full and stay that way longer. Just an idea 8) |

This weekend was my sister's graduation from high school so I went home for the weekend. It was really hard for me. All of my relatives were there and there was cheesecake, chips&dip, hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken wings, cookies, donuts, etc. I wanted them all so bad. There was a meat tray with cheese and there was a veggie tray with ranch dip. I made my self a big salad using these items. I know I shouldn't have had ranch, but there was nothing in the house for me!! I also ate two hamburgers w/o the bun but w/ cheese. I had 15 mixed nuts, and I bought a prepared salad at safeway and I had four no sugar added fudgecicles (all of this was over the two days I was there). The one REALLY bad thing I did was have ONE bite of cheese cake, but I made sure I didn't eat any of the crust.
One good thing is that my hunger has gone away, I feel satisfied after a meal. |

Lindsey,
Sounds like you had a lot of temptation and you did wonderfully. You had tough choices to make and you made them. A little ranch dressing is still better then eating just one donut, cookie or chips and dip. Next time think about bringing your own dressing. But , those are things we learn as we go through the diet.
I am glad to hear that you are not hungry and feel satisfied. I have to watch myself, sometimes I eat just because I am bored. More than once I have found myself standing in front of the fridge reaching for something and say to myself "what are you doing you are not even hungry". I also found that I have to put the crackers back in the cupboard or if I walk past them I eat one or two. I am just starting to see how my bad habits have caused me to gain weight. Stick with it. :D |
