20lbs PLEASE!

I am trying the SB for the 2nd time. The first time was about 6 months ago, and got very discouraged, losing only 4 lbs in 3 weeks of AGONY!
So happy to see this message board, and excited about giving this a 2nd (and last) try! I quit smoking cold-turkey, so I gained a few lbs.
Here are my stats...
Mom of 3
35 years old
5'3
Current weight- 143
Goal weight- 125
Dream weight- 115 :lol:

Any replies are welcome... so many people say they have an easy time losing weight, but harder time keeping it off... I really have a harder time GETTING it off! :?:

Whew.. for some reason, I have the munchies! But I am not giving in!
Todays menu included:

B- 2 eggs/ 1 canadian bacon/ water
Mid snack- Skim string cheese
L- tomato slice/ fat free turkey slice on lettuce sandwich & cucumber
slices
Diet pepsi.... (Hope thats ok, cause I LOVE diet pepsi!)
Snack- 2 sugar free creme saver candies
D- chicken breast/ salad w/ mushrooms, green pepper.. vinageriette dress.)
Dessert- 1 s/f fudgecicle

Wow- that seems like alot, and I thought I barely ate!!!
I noticed alot of people have only ONE egg in the morning... is 2 bad? One egg, and I would be HUNGRY!

DAY TWO

Woke up feeling good.. even seemed my tummy was a little flatter.. (my imagination?) Who cares if it is.. it motivates me to keep going!
Having a problem with what to drink in the AM... cant do water so early in the morning.. makes me gag! I would LOVE just a 1/2 cup of juice.. but I know thats a no-no.. so I have had NOTHING with breakfast- so this morning I had s/f jello- thinking the coldness would help alittle.

Breakfast- 2 eggs w/ chopped canadian bacon, and mozz cheese..jello
Mid Snack- string cheese

Lunch- (Plan) cottage cheese w/ tomato slices and chopped onions..yum!
1 slice lowfat turkey slice, 1 can diet pepsi
Mid snack- Vanilla Ricotta Creme ( I LOVE this stuff!)
Dinner- chicken breast, spinach, jello
SNack- s/f fudgecicle

I hope I am not eating too much!!!!!!!
Planning on telling hubby to hide scale, as I dont want to weigh myself for atleast a week, and getting out of the shower, there it was calling out to me.. dont know if I will resist again!

I have had a headache ALL day!

When I see on paper what I have eaten, I feel its equal to what everyone else is eating, but I am still hungry all of the time! MAybe it just takes awhile for my body to adjust.

Off to grab some nuts............

Your doing good but you are not to feel hungry on P1 so need to add something else. I think you are allowed 1 diet soada with caffeine. There are flavored waters or you can have v8 juice or tomato juice.

DAY THREE

Had my hubby hide the scale last night so it wasnt calling out to me when I got out of the shower! Though I will be so anxious to weigh on Monday (one week on) I feel it is working! Today I had:

B- 2 slices Turkey Bacon/ 2 eggs/ 1/2 c coffee (EEkk)
Snack- vanilla ricotta creme
L- 1/2 cup spinach few spoons of jello (sunbathing today and no appetite! AND drinking lots of water.
Snack- ?? Plan on having string cheese
D- left over chicken breast/ spinch/ cottage cheese
Dessert- s/f fudgecicle

I have been walking every night with hubby, and I am going to add some jogging.. hopefully, I will stick with that... slow process, last time I took up jogging, it took MONTHS to make it 1/2 a mile!
Noticed today I am having NO cravings.. wonder if its from the SB or just from being in the sun....?

Another thing you can try in the morning to drink is sunrise by crystal lite tastes like regular oj....saw you like your oj juice.

DAY FOUR


Woke up this morning not feeling too well. Alittle weak, and nausseous.
Do feel 'lighter' though. Was going to search for my hidden scale, but thought better not- I have until Monday for the weigh in.

Spoke to my friend who is trying to lose about 30 lbs. She has been going to the gym every day for a month and has lost 4 lbs. She is very discouraged.. I suggested trying the SB- but shes not ready to change her eating habits, and wants to see if it works for me first.

Plan for today-



B- 2 slices turkey bacon/ crystal lite/ 2 eggs with mushrooms
S- nothing
L- chicken salad/ cauliflower/ diet pepsi
S- jello/ cream cheese-sour cream recipe from another member-yum!
D- lean burger (no bun) cucumber slices/ cottage cheese
S- s/f fudge bar

Looks like the hunger went away. What a relief. Your weakness should go away in a few days if it hasn't already. If you do get hungry definitely add more food to your meals. Another drink you could try is V8. Some people really don't like it. I love it, but only cold. Once it starts warming up it's a little yucky. It's very salty so you may want to try to the sodium free version. Your meals are good just remember if you're hungry eat and if you're not still eat.

DAY FIVE

Here is it.. my 35th birthday! UGH!!!!

Anyway- hubby taking me to dinner tonite... first time eating out since started SB- I think it'll be ok, my cravings are virtually gone! He asked if I wanted a cake, ("Can u atleast have a piece of Angel Food?") I told him just to buy one of those Pepperidge Farm cakes, and I would blow some candles and have ONE bite! That way- those cakes are so small, between he and my 3 kids, it will be gone tonite, and not sitting in the fridge like a regular size cake would be doing!
I did so GOOD last night, making my family Spinach Tortellini, (one of my favs) and didnt even have one bite! I sat there with my healthier dinner and was fine.. cant believe I wasnt tempted! My hubby was proud!
Of course it would prolly be easier to do the SB if my whole family would too- just so I would nt have to make so many different meals, but I realize they need those carbs, esp. my very active husband.. he is so muscular and fit, runs all the time, lift weights... no reason he cant enjoy the pasta! (Not to mention he is Italian.. he WONT give up pasta.. not even for whole wheat pasta!)
Almost have my friend that needs to lose 30 lbs convinced to do SB, was talking to her last night and she is discouraged by the gym- she isnt seeing results she wants, but admits to pigging out on chips during the day! I told her(again) about the SB and besides the fact of eating healthier, and FEELING like I have lost some, I also just feel so CLEAR headed.. its awesome, I just feel better all over! I looked at myself in the mirror this morning standing sideways, and my hubby walked in and we both noticed I am "narrower"...ha! Cant wait until Monday! (weigh in) I am sooo tempted to now, but I dont want to be discouraged.

My meal plan for today:




B- 2 vege quiche cups/ 1 turkey bacon/ 1/2 c coffee
S- string cheese
L- Left over chicken breast w/ green peppers & mushrooms/ jello
D- ???? Hoping for vege plate.. we will see where he takes me!
S- ONE BITE bday cake/ s-f fudge pop


Hope I can stick to that- u know, sometimes I think, heck- its MY BDAY whats ONE piece of cake, but I no better, all my cravings will come back, and I have worked so hard this week, I know ONE piece of cake COULD set me back. And I am not willing to Go there!

DAY SIX

I was soo proud of myself last night, hubby took me to Applebees for bday dinner.. and I got a chicken salad, with oil/ vinegar. And when we came home and had Bday cake.. I had ONE bite!! It wasnt even that hard!

To make my Bday complete- I went ahead and weighed myself last night.. I know I was going to wait until it had been a full week, but I couldnt help it, and my hubby gave in and got the scale.. (How could he refuse the bday Girl??) :P

Anyway- after 5 days- I weighed in at 139!! Thats a lose of 4.5 bs in 5 days. I am ecstatic.. but I know it will slow down.. but thats ok, I still feel FABULOUS!!

This morning I had:

2 vege quiche cups/ 1 slice canadian bacon/ 1/2 c coffee


I poured my daughters cereal- she had Lucky Charms (MY FAV!!) and was soo tempted to pop one of those marshmallows in my mouth, but I refrained... WHERE is all of this will power coming from>?? I LOVE IT!

DAY SEVEN

Sunday=

We went out last night with some friends.. they hadnt eaten dinner, so we stopped at Applebees (DH and I had already eaten) I had WATER while they ate YUMMY but HIGH carb food! I did grab a celery stick.. and thats it! Everyone had beer/ or a mixed drink, and I stuck with the water.. but I was soo close to ordering a whiskey sour! I am feeling so good though, to have taken control and FEEL in control of my eating, and of my life in General! What a good feeling not to be controlled by food.. thats how I always felt. Living to eat, instead of eating to LIVE!

Menu for today-
B- 2 eggs/ 2 turkey bacon 1/2 c coffee


S- nothing.. had breakfast late (1030)

L- salad w/ tuna... water

S- s/f popsicle... (while laying outside in sun.. yummy!!)


D- not sure yet- need to go grocery shopping

S- f/f pudding

DAy Eight-

I feel good.. no cravings, no headaches, and energetic!
Ijust hope once I am through with these initial 2 weeks, I dont get too discouraged once the weight loss slows down, I know it will... but I am eating so much better and less then I did before SB, just seems I should continue losing.

Todays menu-

Breakfast- 2 vege quiche cups/ s-f jello/ 1/2 c coffee
Snack- string cheese
Lunch- 2 fat free slices of turkey, 1 hard boiled egg, Vanilla ricotta dessert ( not having snack)
Snack- None
Dinner- lean hamburger patty/ salad with cucumbers-tomatos-and cauliflower


Also started taking Flax Oil vitamins, and Chromium Picolinate...suppose to help with metabolism. ???
