| Has anyone tried any recipes their kids like? We have a picky 8-year-old and we are getting tired of fixing two dinners, one for us and one for him. He likes fajitas and we tried the Marinated Flank Steak but he hated it! What are everyone's thoughts on super lean ground beef? It is 96% lean. I was thinking of making some patties with some gravy from a mix (I checked the label and it looks OK). Any suggestions would be great! P.S. -- Day 5, down 4 lb. |

Lean meats are fine. Thats what I have eaten lately. If your child likes hamburgers fix burgers. Just leave out the bun for you. Other ideas would be to make chicken fajitas with low fat sour cream, guacamole etc. Just leave out the wrap for you (if on phase 1). Also, try and see if he likes spaghetti squash. Try it with toato sause and homemade meatballs or meat sauce. |

I have three picky eater (ugh), one thing they like is BBQ chicken so I make a bunch of chicken breasts on my George Foreman and then cut the kids into strips and put some BBQ sauce on them and bake them for about 10 minutes to let the sauce soak in while our chicken is cooking and Im making a salad . They like it and I dont have to make two meals.
Also in Phase II, I made spaghetti with wheat noodles and made the kids regular noodles, it was just one more pan so its wasn't a big deal and they didn't taste any difference in the sauce at all. |
