TreO

I'll keep it short and sweet. I'm a 27 year old male with a starting weight of 265lbs on 05/25. I'm 6'0" tall. My goal is to get down under 200lbs. How far I go under is all up to me and how focused I can stay.

I have never really had a big problem with eating too much, I just ate the wrong things when I did eat. Thats the biggest reason I started this diet. I wanted some sort of structure where I could plan ahead for meals. Other than the diet I have also started more physical activity. I work Sun-Thurs nightshift and golf 3 mornings a week. I now carry my clubs instead of getting a cart. I have also started biking 1 day a week for 45mins to an hour.

I've only been on the diet for 4 days now and feel 100% better. I'm excited to see how far I can go.

Well, I was only going to weigh myself once every Tuesday but I cracked and stepped on the scale this morning. It showed 257.5lbs!!
It's only been about 4 days and 7.5lbs.

Is there anything I should worry about losing that much so quick? I know with my weight it should come off fairly quick in the beginning and start to slow down.

I have lost fast but I was retaining a lot of water and this diet has helped with that. It sounds like that is what happens with some of us on P1 It changes us in a wonderful way.
Keep up the good work.

So far so good for me. It's been one week and I'm down to 254.5. I haven't had any cravings for any bad carbs since day 2. 1 more week to phase 2. Hopefully I'll be under 250 when I get there since that was a goal I had set when I started.

i must admit i was initially attracted to your journal because your name looks enough like OREO. ha. but i'm glad i swung by because it's wonderful to hear of your great results. i joined for the similar reasons--structure, being able to plan ahead..it's just nice knowing what you are reaching for each day and knowing it's going to be good for you. but keep up the great work, i'm sure with such results you will want to keep this new way of eating/living and am confident you will! keep us posted.

Sounds like you're doing awesome! This diet is almost magical. It's changed everything about my lifestyle, and I'm meeting my mini goals way faster than I thought I would. Keep up the fantastic work!

Well its been 2 weeks on phase one and I just weighed myself - 251! 1lb shy of what I wanted to be at after 2 weeks. It's still a loss of 14lbs so I'm not complaining.

I'm working a lot right now so I'm going to be staying on phase 1 until Friday so I can decide what carbs I want to add back into my diet since I don't really miss any of them, especially bread. I'll probably just start with a piece of fruit or something else that is small.

My next goal is to be around 200 by the end of September

Still dropping
I just did my weekly weigh in and I'm now at 245. In phase 2 I still haven't eaten any bread except for the 2 slices of pizza that was ordered into work when we stay late one day. I've pretty much kept to my phase 1 eating except for the addition of fruits. Once I have some free time I'll have to take a look at the cookbook for some more phase 2 recipes.
