I will start this diet on Monday, May 31st. Right now I'm hoping to lose 30 pounds. If things go well I may increase that number. I tried Atkins a few years ago and became very ill. I had a horrible reaction. I think I will do much better this time. I've planned well ahead. I've joined a support board BEFORE I've started. I have specific guidelines and plenty of recipes. I went shopping and have stocked the house with approved foods. I think I'm set.

I will log in on Monday with my weight.

Day One

Not too bad so far. I really enjoyed the spinach cups at breakfast. Yum! Would love to have eaten two more. :D

I've had fleeting headaches. I'm very curious to see how I feel in the next few days. But I WILL stick this out.

My weight as of this morning was 169 :cry:

My short term goal is to be 150 before October. We will be going home to visit and while 150 is still a lot for me its much better than 169 and I think 19 pounds by October is a realistic goal.

Thanks for droppiing by my journal Amelia.

You certainly have been in Japan for quite a few years. My brother speaks a little of the language and used to have to go there a few times a year when he worked for the Commerce Dept.

I've found it easier to just cut out sweets from my diet, and I don't really miss them anymore.

I have a question for you. Could you give me the addy of your online shop? the SteviaPlus® sounds really good. The only online stores I have found have no SB friendly foods.

Just read you are in Japan.. my husband is in the Army, and we just got back from Japan last June! We were stationed at Camp Zama! Just wanted to say Hello!!

Day Two

I was very dizzy last night. I had a cheese stick and went to bed. I was very worried. I started to think I was going to end up really sick like I did on Atkins. But I felt great this morning. I felt terrific after breakfast and even had energy to workout. I had a light headache off and on but nothing I couldn't handle. Its 9pm and I'm just now starting to feel weak so I'll probably just head to bed. All I can say is thank goodness SB allows veggies. Otherwise I think I'd be as ill as I was on Atkins.

Day Three

I'm not doing too well. I felt weak and dizzy when I woke up this morning. But I got up and had breakfast. Felt much better. Was able to do my 40 min. pilates workout but realized afterwards that I was shakey. I have had to eat quite a few snacks to keep the shakes down. I've been very weak most of the day. I realized just a bit ago that I forgot to take my vitamins this morning. Maybe those would have helped. I took them yesterday and I felt great yesterday. All I keep thinking is how I cannot feel like this for 11 more days. I cannot! But I'm sticking it out and we'll see how it goes.

Day Seven

I cannot believe how great I feel. On day four I thought I was going to quit. I'm so glad I didn't. I feel so good. The cravings are almost gone. I had a moment of weakness while making pancakes for the kids but I resisted!!! I find that I'm not even all that hungry. I weigh in tomorrow. I'm kind of scared. I feel so good and I don't feel deprived at all. So, I'm worried that I haven't lost anything.

I am sure you will be very pleased at your weigh-in! Keep going!!! I am glad you stuck with it, I bet the hardest days are over!!

Day Eight

I weighed myself and I'm only down four pounds. I'm a bit disappointed. I was hoping for more. However, I'm trying to focus more on how I feel rather than what the scale says. I'm going to keep at it this week and hope for better results next Monday.

Day 15

I'm disappointed. I only lost one pound this past week. I do see a change in my body. My stomache looks very different. It still looks gross since I've had two c-sections. But it looks smaller. I can tell my waist is smaller too. I really thought I had lost more than one pound.

Well, I feel really good and that is the important thing. I'm just going to work harder. I will increase water, decrease almonds and PB. Today I get to add in grains and fruit. Maybe that will help.

Aww.. Cheer up! Better to be down one then up!
I know thats easy to say, I am gettin alittle discouraged myself.

Tomorrow is my weigh in, and something tells me its going slow too! (end of 2nd week) And believe me I know what you mean about the belly issue, I have had 3 c-sections! EEkk..

Keep your chin up! I am rootin for u!!
