Does anyone know if the new Atkins wraps at Subway are allowed on the SB?

Thanks!

I was wondering the same thing. I'm on phase two and ate one yesterday. It was great, I anly hope it was legal!

What kind of wraps are they? Tortilla in any way? If so...wouldn't be allowed in Phase I. If they are lettuce wraps, they could be allowed. :)

Their website says that the wrap part is made of "wheat gluten, cornstarch, oat, sesame flour and soy protein". Also: there are two of them. One has bacon and the other chicken. So, I personally am not gonna try these in Phase I since the point of Phase I is not low carbs but no starchy carbs. But I may try them in Phase II and stick to the chicken ones since bacon's not allowed. :D

I work at subway and both the wraps have bacon the also come with onions bellpeppers and olives, ranch dressing comes on the chicken and chipotle southwest sauce comes on the turkey, but we also make any kind of sandwich into a wrap....

I checked the site and the fat on one was out of control and the other was not so bad.....just be careful but I would say they minus the bacon r allowed!

I had one over the weekend. I am on phase 1 and should not have had it until phase 2 but due to poor planning I ended up eating one. I had the Turkey bacon wrap and it was very tasty. They are quite small but very filling. I would think that they were okay in phase 2 in moderation.

They have a disclaimer on the ads that says they are not suitable for the early portion of the Atkins diet. As for the fat content...it's on the high side compared to SBD norms but is just fine if you're following Atkins.

Yeah melamill...that's what I think. Phase 2 only. But, I would think the bacon ones aren't allowed, ya know? Not even in Phase 2. Maybe in moderation during Phase 3. Just my humble opinion, doh. 8)

I would think they are not allowed because one of the ingredients is corn starch, which is not allowed during phase one. Secondly, we do not know the glycemic index or load on these things. That is one of the most important stats to know on any food before giving it a green light in phase one. Pretty much stick to the books list of good foods for just two short weeks and you will be fine. Save all the creative stuff for later, just use a little will power to get through 2 weeks.

I had a subway wrap on thursday i am in phase two and it was great. Just so every one knows you don't have to have the kind that they say. I got a wrap with turkey lettuce tom, onions and peppers. It was very good..

like subman said, they can make any kind of sandwich into a wrap, so go with the veggie wrap! quite tasty imo.
