I am already on Phase 2 not sure how much I lost on phase 1 since my scale doesnt go over 350. The last time I went to my doctor who had a scale that went over 350 I was 385 and I think I started over that. So I am puting my start weight at about 391. On June 1 I go back to that doctors building and will try to get them to let me borrow there scale just for a weigh in. Glad I found a free site to join. At this point I can't afford a site I have to pay for. With this diet I havent had to take diabetic meds for two weeks, See doctor for that next week. will keep posted on that.

not sure how to do this, diet part is easy, just no desire to eat, not sure if its my meds or what. yesterday ate a piece of cheese, and a pear. Today made myself eat eggs and bacon, for breakfast, lunch tuna on wheat, supper was an apple. i know one too many carbs, wanted the left over tuna, but someone ate it. I am bad on the water, and coffee, I crave coffee, which is probably why i dont eat, or drink the water. Goal tomorrow is to drink only two cups of coffee and drink atleast three glasses of water. Think I will read the book again. Never hurts to go over it again and again. Wish I could weigh myself. Hate to invest in new scale, cause after this i never plan on weighing over 350 again. Since adding carbs BS going up tonight 214 adding glucovance bid back will see how that does.

I been bad about not journaling, but been busy, going back and forth to doctors, been bad about eating, sometimes going to bed having forgotten to eat, ME who used to Live to eat, now i am eating to live. Food is not on my mind 24-7. After going to an doc appt we stopped at Dennys to eat, used to love their french toast, Got there club on wheat and instead of fries got cooked carrots, I was so stuffed that was all i ate all day. Just hope this keeps up. Doctor wanted me to go see a doc about gastric bypass, I called I dont think I need it at this point think I am doing fine. The Family is asking to be on it too. I hope they dont get discouraged. :D :D

Hi Abby,
I too could not weigh at my doctors office any more. I am now under 350 with SB. I cant believe I allowed myself to just keep going so far.
I think more of us very large people need to spread the word about this diet to our doctors. I was going to have the gastric pypass surgery in September. But I had to lose 80 pounds first. It took a while before I decided against the surgery, and Im now glad I tried 1 more time to diet.
You can go to the doctor that has the scale and ask to just be weighed.
It doesnt cost anything. My clinic has finally gotten a scale that ways people over 350. So maybe you should mention to your doctor that the clinic should invest in one. Isnt it awesome about the way we do not need all our diabetic medicine anymore. I have been on insulin for 2 years 4 times a day and now Im just taking it 1 time. Keep up the good work.

thanks for your kind words, I wasnt on insulin, but he had to change my meds, due to blood sugar dropping too low, i sat and watched my daughter eat a cheese burger and fries the other day, and didnt eat a one fry nor was I tempted to, and this was at mc donalds. I was so proud of my self, I will be so happy when i reach that 350 mark.

Yes I started at 389 and it was a happy day when i could start weighing at my chiropracters. But since last Saturday Ive slowly started bloating again. today was a little better. Good luck.

Don' know if its the diet, or my meds, but I just dont crave food like I used to. I no longer think about what and when I am gunna eat. Salads with grilled chicken have become my favs. This is like losing weight and not trying. I wish I was physically able to exercise, then i could lose more. Also not drinking the water like i should. But still averaging 4 lbs a week.

Now 6/18/04 366 29lbs

first mini goal was 350 by sept 1, think i will make that sooner, and want to be 325 by christmas.
