Hello everyone! :)
Just logging in again for the 1000th time to say I'm back on the Beach. I've come to realize that I need a support group, such as this site, to be successful on the South Beach Way of Life.
I know this "diet" works as I've lost and gained AND lost and gained many times before. The last time I was successful at this I lost a great deal of weight and inches. Unfortunately, I let others influence me to stray. Namely, my DH. This time around, he's either with me or he's not.
Not being here to get the extra support from all of you was really hard. I know I have to be accountable in EVERY way for this to be a part of me.
Sooooo.... on Day 4 of Phase 1, "AGAIN!!!", I'm doing okay. So far I've lost about 4 pounds. I'm tracking every day to keep up. As well as planning menus to make sure I don't stray and stick with the plan.
My kids are happy with eating this way again. My DH? Not so sure but I can only be responsible for what "I" do so we shall see. ;)
Anyway, it feels good to be back again. I wish all of you a happy Independence Day!! :) |

| Welcome back and I wish you luck! Good attitude doing it for yourself, I am sorry that your DH is not as supportive as you would like, so best wishes in working through that. |

Thanks for the welcome back! ;)
My DH has finally come around that we're back on the Beach. I guess he didn't have much choice as I prepared most of the meals this week. He actually cooked a SB meal the other night. ;)
It works so much better for us when we do this together. The last time we did this I was like the SB police trying to watch and control everything he did, consumed, etc. It stressed me out and when he continued to cheat here and there, I fell right back into the rut with him. I refuse to do that this time.
I think my nonchalant attitude this time made him face reality. He's doing well thus far. I believe he'll get hooked again once he sees more positive results.
