for what purpose? camp or just a snack? in general you're better off relying on real food than prepackaged foods like bars and shakes.

NO not for a snack not this early on.

maybe South Beach is not for you. you seem rather resistant to everything we tell you NOT to eat... maybe calorie counting or Weight Watchers would work better for you.

Well..... in horsecrzy's defense... she is a teen... :D

The Kashi bars are probably one of the better bars in a pinch than most.
Maybe when you are farther along in P2?

If you want a good snack (to shake things up)..... try turkey pepperoni chips http://www.southbeach-diet-plan.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=75075&start=0 with some Laughing Cow Light cheese.......

It seems as though the OP is ignoring all the good advice because of the cravings for "STUFF"...

horsecrzy - Try to get through 3 days - just THREE DAYS, that's 72 hours - just eating ON PLAN. On day 4, if you still REALLY REALLY want that snack bar, ask yourself what it will do for you? What will it give you? How will you feel after eating it? Re-read the ingrediants - are you happy to put them into your body? AND, if you don't want the snack bar, DON'T EAT IT. Put it off until Day 7 or 8 (and again ask yourself the above questions), wait to shake things up a bit, no need to shake things up on Day 1 or 2.

Someone bought me a sausage roll today. A yummy gooey greasy hot dripping sausage roll. I managed to resist because I KNOW I don't want all that crap in MY body since journeying thus far...

At a healthy weight with 11lbs to lose, perhaps focus more on exercise and eating a balanced diet rather than sweating the ingredients in a basically decent granola bar. The secret is not in eating or not eating a granola bar.
