Hi, All. I am so excited. For those who wondered if SB helps lower cholesterol, I've been on the plan since March 3, 2008, have lost 17 3/4 lbs and lowered my cholesterol 40 POINTS!!! And I'm not taking any cholesterol lowering drugs!!! Good and bad cholesterol are all within normal limits.
I just added exercise to my routine day before yesterday (swimming) and hope to lose a bit quicker. But if not, so what. Slow and steady wins the race. |

nice job!! wish more people realized this was far more about improving your general health and reducing risks for diabetes and heart disease than it is about weight loss. Whenever I see people disappointed about their particular weight loss situation and whether it is really "working", I often think, "yeah but you're so much healthier eating this way even when the scale isn't cooperating". think, but do not say... ;)
Anyway, congrats again!! |

| Congratulations! I'm supposed to be eating healthier in part to lower my LDL number, and I was concerned that I'm eating too many eggs to do that. Thanks for the inspiration. :) |

Thanks, All.
Everyone at work asked which drug I was taking, Crestor or Plavix. They were really surprised when I told them it was just SB healthy eating.
Even when I permit myself something not strictly SB, I use SB ingredients. For instance, I LOVE fried chicken. But I remove all skin and visible fat, soak it in buttermilk with Kosher salt and pepper sauce added; flour it with whole grain pastry flour and fry it in canola oil.
It's wonderful, but also a very occasional treat. |
