When using a sugar substitute, do I still use the same amount I think it's 3/4 cups of sugar substitute or do I use what's equal to it??
Example:
Last time I used 3/4 and it came out a little to sweet.
This time I just made some and used it's equal and it seems very powdery although before putting it in the oven the dough looked fine. |

It depends on the type of sugar substitute you're using.
Some are better for baking than others. Also, everyone has has different sweet taste, what's fine for you it might not be enough for me.
Splenda in general is good for cooking and baking.
When using Splenda in bulk you measure the same amount as the equivalent in "real" sugar. When using Splenda in packats you use less because it's sweeter than "real" sugar. Again, taste whatever you're making before baking it.
Equal, and other sugar substitutes are not.
Stevia is better for adding to drinks than to cook or bake.
Sugar Twin, Sweet one, Sweet and Low they are all tricky to cook when them. |

| I find Splenda to be double the sweetness of sugar (personally), so I personally would try it with 3/4 the amount of Splenda first to see how that tastes. It can be trial and error. |
