when you say you are following it to a T what do you mean?
the menus in the book? which book?
how was your eating before the beach? if it was pretty healthy you might not see a loss right away.
are you drinking enough water? |

Can you list some more quantities? For instance, there's a big difference between having 3 olives and 30 olives. Olives, btw, are a fat/oil, so you could have dressing OR olives (or a half portion of each). Alternative fat/oil quantities are listed in the food list in my FAQ.
You could be eating too much cheese, which doesn't count toward dairy, and I don't see any dairy incidentally. 2 cups of dairy daily is recommended-- types are in the food list in my FAQ.
It isn't a horrible menu by any means, but if you overdo the calorie dense items, it gets in the way of burning off fat. |

| olives, maybe 5. I have been walking about 3 miles a day.Lifting small weights 3 times a week. I just don't get it. As a matter of fact I weighed myself this morning 156. I am drinking at least 138 oz of water a day. Once a day I treat myself to crystal light in a 32 oz bottle. I guess I will cut back on the cheese. But I am so frustrated. |

| Have you tried measuring youself? Sometimes the measurement shows weight loss more than the scale will! I keep a weight and measurement diary--it's fun, inspiring and interesting to go back and review it. |

| That sounds like a good idea. I will try it. I do feel better and a little lighter that is why I am frustrated with the scale. |

| I have been doing phase 1 for approx 12 days now and have only just lost 2lbs. I weighed myself two days ago and hadn't budged but when I weighed myself today I had dropped 2lbs. I think everyone is different and some people don't even lose any in phase 1 because it is mainly about changing your eating habits and trying to stop any cravings. You sound like you are doing really well (definitely alot better than me lol!), just stick with it and try not to get too frustrated :D |
