| Ok I have my list all made out 2 weeks of SB foods. My question is in phase one can people please tell me some things they eat or ate to curb the sweet attack? I am a huge fruit person and I know this is not allowed so would love some ideas please. I want this to work so badly and want to try and do it just right. Thanks again |

Sugar-free gelatin would be the closest thing to fruit in Phase 1. I would pick up some of that. You can have sugar-free popsicles if you want. I really liked (and still sometimes have) no-sugar-added fudgsicles.
In the recipe and food forum... there is a recipe summary that includes all kinds of great links and best of all - recipe links. There is a thread for Favorite Phase 1 Recipes you might want to check out (it may include desserts):

There is also a thread for Favorite SB Desserts (but it includes desserts for all phases so only choose those that are Phase 1 friendly):

Some from the above link that stand out to me for Phase 1 --
- fudgsicle peanut butter dessert (1-2 Tbsp. natural PB, 1 no-sugar-added fudgsicle, 1-2 Tbsp. light Cool Whip [optional]). Mix together.
- 1 or 2% cottage cheese with sugar-free maple syrup or other flavorings
- part-skim or low-fat ricotta cheese with flavorings (vanilla, unsweetened cocoa powder, etc.) |

I ate SF hard candy (chocolate or butterscotch) and drank diet soda. I never bothered to count the sweet treat calories, because with those I wasn't ever going to come close to 100 calories daily.
You may find fruit-flavored hard candy and fruit-flavored SF drinks will help if you are used to lots of fruit. My experience is that when I eat or drink something with a tart flavor (even something like iced tea or sodas) I don't really want fruit. Note: this is a BAD thing if you should be eating a lot of fruit, and I suspect a lot of kids and adults are probably not eating enough fruit because they're eating and drinking stuff that makes them not miss it. |
