Hi everyone - Happy Sunday :D

I've decided to walk at least 1 mile per day 5-6 times per week. Also, I will weigh in on Sundays.

I weighed myself today and I'm down 2lbs. I'm not gonna weigh myself again until next Sunday. I thought it would be a great way to end the weekend and start the week off!!

Anyone else care to join me and motivate each other?

~Meli

** This is not meant to be a competition. I like to be held accountable for my exercise and thought it would motivate me more to "report" in.

***You don't have to walk 1 mile, but you can work your way up to it, or even beyond!!

****Join me!! What else do you have to lose? But, weight

Hi Meli,

Happy Sunday to you.

I would like to join your Sunday weigh in group. I have been on SB Diet for almost a week. So far it has been going well. I have enjoyed the food. I have tried a few of the recipes and really liked most of them.

I have been trying to walk everynight so this will help having someone to check in with. :D

Good luck to you!

I will be in touch.

Hi Meli! I'd love to join you! I think weighing in on Sunday is a great idea! Walking a mile a day is also very reasonable :)

Hi woodland_fea!

Great to have you!! Yes, I think 1 mile per day is pretty reasonable and if we stick to it, the pounds will melt away. I look forward to checking in with everyone next Sunday.

I'll be posting my pounds lost by 12 noon EST every Sunday and I look forward to seeing everyone's success. :)

This is my 3rd time on the Beach and I love it! I just need to stick with it long term

Hi Rojaiju! Thanks for joining us!!

As far as how many blocks make a mile, I really think it depends on the size of the block  Some say 10, 12 blocks...I've heard as many as 16 blocks.

Here's a GREAT link that may answer your question:

Come on in and join us.

All you have to do is walk a bit every day OR a few days per week. Remember, the more you walk, the more you will burn calories, strengthen your heart among other health benefits and this is our ultimate goal right?

What better time to start?

Any exercise is better than none

Stick to SB plan

Hi Mel! Today is my first day of my second try at this. First try I lost 15lbs, then went home and started emotional eating. So, after about 2 years......i'm back on the horse! I can't find anything else that gets the results as well as here! I'm going to walk the causeway in a little bit! :D

Hi, everyone!!!

I too would LOVE to join in on the one mile walk and Sunday weigh in.

Today marks my first week of being on the diet plan and I've lost 3 pounds. There was only one time that I ate the wrong foods, but I'm past that, back on track and ready to move forward!!

I'm looking forward to joining your group. I try to walk as much as possible, but this will be an extra push for me. I have a treadmill with the most God awful picture of me that was taken a few weeks ago taped to the wall in front of my treadmill (the picture is what made me start the SBD) and this will be great motivation to keep going!!!

Good luck to everyone!!!

Hi Catnash,
Great to have you on here! Congrats on your commitment to SB and your health! Sometimes I have a "slip up" and eat the wrong things too. Like you said..."back on track and ready to move forward" that's the attitude to have. :)

I look forward to your Sunday post/weigh in tomorrow!

Hi all my SB friends!

I hope that everyone enjoyed their July 4th with their family and friends.

So, did anyone have a hard time with their food choices yesterday? We went over to a friend's house and there was so much food, yummy food and snacks. I will say that I made sure to drink water before I left my house. I was pretty good though and stuck to my plan!

Just a reminder for everyone tomorrow is our FIRST Sunday weigh in!!

I look forward to hearing from everyone...Everyone is Welcome to join us!!

Thank you!!

This sounds like a good way to deal with the SB flu/working out issue I'm fearing... i've been so fatigued today! I'm trying yogurt to help with that issue, but I fear that if I run, I will pass out.

Thanks for the good idea!

I was on SBD last year and lost a nice chunk of weight, but obviously have put it back on. I tried the Biggest Loser in January and really liked it, very close to the same concept except phase 1 is not as extreme. I lost like 11 lbs in a week....but once again, I fell off and regained the weight. I'm like a diet plan dropout!
Anyways, I just graduated college and began my first real job. However, my boss is a fashionista and keeps making comments about my weight. I don't want it to effect my career so I need to drop it fast but in a healthy way. July 25th I leave for a business trip to Las Vegas and have to wear nice clothes, so my goal is to be around 15 (maybe 20 if possible) pounds lighter by the time I go.
I am not extremely overweight, 160 +/- at 5'2", but I do get asked, more frequently than I care to say, if I am pregnant or if I "have a baby in my belly" - from small children. Its the curse of the petite shortwaisted woman.
So, there is my motivation and being able to keep in check with likeminded people will certainly be an asset in this neverending battle of the bulge.
When I was doing BL I was in a competition with a weekly weigh-in and can say that doing the weigh in once a week made it much more exciting and rewarding than checking in everday. ***Don't forget about the day-to-day water weight fluctuation caused by SBD P1***
My cousin began the SBD lifestyle several years ago and her results were phenomenal and motivational. She went from a size 16/18 to a size 2/4 in a matter of a year and has maintained the results (besides being pregnant) for 2-3 years. This is a long term lifestyle, which can do amazing things for your body if you let it. Lets lose it!
My restart day will be Sunday 07/06/08
