2nd day and already confused/hungry?!
Should I really be eating regular dressing instead of fat free/low fat? Even with the "hidden fat" this doesn't seem right. Does anyone know the answer? Oh, and non-dairy creamer...yae or nae? |

non dairy creamer - nay Fat free half and half is allowed though up to 2 tblsp per day.
regular ranch - OK if under 3 gms of sugar per 2 tblsp serving and better if made from good fats, but unlikely unless you make it yourself with a ranch packet.

Just to clarify, I think the "unlikely " means regular ranch dressing is unlikely to be made with the most-recommended oils (olive or canola). It's healthier if made with those oils, but still acceptable if if meets the guidelines. |

| yeah, that's what I meant. ;) It's on the list as OK, but it typically seems to be made with soybean oil or other less healthy oils but it seems to me to be mostly just a matter of degree. I wonder what the SB branded version uses. I bet they use the cheaper stuff too! ;) (and still charge a premium for the brand!) |
