I feel like if I'm just sitting here, I'm backtracking. Yes, I'm new to the exercise world, but I'm loving it. If I can do it, does that mean I'm not overdoing it?

Exercise provides stress for your body. Recovery (rest) is where your body responds to that stress and gets stronger, faster, more efficient. If you don't rest, you simply tear your body apart continually. There has to be a balance.
