I just started the diet and love pickles. I don't see them mentioned at all. Are pickles allowed?

I eat them all the time. They are okay as long as they don't have sugar added.

i eat them. i love them esp. half sours. they are fine. i don't personally count them as a veggie, and the salt on them is often high... can cause water retention....

Of course they're a veggie, but I think I see what you're saying-- you wouldn't want to try to get 4½+ cups of pickles in everyday because of the sodium.

4 1/2 cups of pickles, too funny.
I love the Vlasic bread and butter pickles, made with sucralose. I eat them from the jar and chop them up to add to salads. |

Mt Olive makes splenda-sweetened pickles. They're good too.

Yum... 4 1/2 cups of pickles... I just can't shake the image of my large pyrex measuring cup filled to overflowing with pickles.
