| I am nervous about starting Phase 2. I have read the sticky and everything. I decided to start with berries and had a SBD friendly strawberry smoothie last night (milk, plain yogurt, a little Splenda and strawberries). It was yummy! I lost 3 lbs on phase 1 so I need to keep going. Just afraid of gaining back. I am hoping to keep my exercising. It is still hit and miss with it. I keep telling myself I can do it. |

Hi Jen!
I moved into phase 2 on the 15th also and I love love love it! I liked phase one but was starting to feel like I needed some more variety! I work 13 hours shifts and rarely get luncgbreaks so i had to pack everything on those nights and it had to be fast, easy stuff to eat in a hurry. It was getting repetitive.
I only lost four pounds on phase one, but it fluctuates. Don"t worry about gaining weight back! You won't!
I had the old book, but bought the new supercharged one because it was much more specific about how to move into phase 2 and had more foods to enjoy and avoid.
The past 2 days I have had one grain in the am and one peice of fruit in the afternoon (noth paired with fat and protein) and have felt fine about it, in fact, I can't wait to add more!
Anyone have any good ideas on whole wheat crackers? What is the best brand? I was thinking reduced fat triscuits.
Keep me updated on your progress! I can't do this alone!
My menu for tomorrow:
B: 4 egg whites, 2 slices cb, v8
MS: apple with 1 low fat string cheese
L: 1/2 ww pita with turkey, tomatoes, avocado and lettuce, 1/2 c carrots
AS: 1 cup Fage yogurt with 15 almonds
D: Shrimp salad with LF feta, olives, tomatoes, romaine, spinach and balsamic vinagerette
not real big on any desserts |

| started phase 2 yesterday. Finally had oatmeal for breakfast. However, it didn't last me until lunch as the eggs did. I found that I felt hungry in between meals even with a snack. During phase 1 didnt feel hungry at all. I sort of ran out of SB diet food this weekend and really need to stock up again. I didn't quite follow it too much yesterday ate light but that's probably why. |

| I began Phase 2 today, planning on eating an egg or two for breakfast (along with veggies). I discovered that all of the eggs were gone! I live with a hungry husband and two teenage sons...So I made oatmeal (1/2 cup dry) and had a lite cheese wedge along with it and my V-8 juice and coffee. Two hours later and I am still not hungry. Looks like this was my carb splurge for the day. It was nice to have something different than eggs! |

Hi iwannabeachbod, mpass, and franklin.lori!
I ended up missing breakfast today. I know not good but I was sick to my stomach. I had a salad with chicken breasts for lunch. I was full so fast! I had 5 almonds just a minute ago. I am thinking what to make for supper. I am going to start trying at least one new South Beach recipe a week. I did my walking in yesterday and will do the exercises in the new Supercharged book. I may try to get a little walking in. |

I had 2 glasses of wine AND a peice of dark chocolate (0.5 oz and I wanted more) yesterday on top of my meals. I was just in the mood and it was one of those days! I worked a 13 hour shift today and for dinner around 5 had to down some V8 and cold chicken breasts while I was running around! Oh, and carrots, so I could've done worse! The days I work are the hardest to get my meals and snacks in without feeling famished!
Things are going good though, I love my banana and almond butter as my morning snack! |

| I started Phase 2 on 6/14 and I agree, I love the variety for breakfast instead of eggs. I did have a different reaction to oatmeal with egg, surprisingly it filled me up. I tried egg whites & toast the next day & I was starving even after my snack so I guess it does work differently in everyone. Congrats to you all and keep it up, I think variety is key in this life change because it'll make you crazy to eat the same stuff everyday and you'll come to appreciate the 1 carb and 1 fruit you get for now....at least I do, I savor my yogurt with berries! |

You all have got me wanting to try oatmeal for breakfast. I'll try to wait until Sunday and just stick with my berries. Dh told me that he wants me to make him a strawberry smoothie every night because it helps with the cravings he gets late at night (right before he goes to bed). He loves them. I am so glad I bought a new blender a couple weeks ago. We have been using so much for SBD recipes.
I did get the exercises in the book done last night. So I need to do the interval walking tonight. Nothing going on tonight so it shouldn't be a problem.
I am hoping to get my weight down before August (at least half way there). We have our family (my sisters and their families, and my dad and his wife) vacation then. Dh and dd and me are getting our family pics done in September. So I hope to be at least somewhat thinner by then. |

| How bad do you think that the ff sf jello pudding is? I made some with skim milk and put it in the fridge, but I noticed that the main ingredient is modified corn starch! That seems like an awful thing to be putting into your body when trying to eat clean!! I ate some last night but felt super guilty about it! |

| It's fine in P2 as an allowed sweet treat choice. Just because things are allowed doesn't mean you have to consume them though. Really up to you. I don't personally think the small amounts of modified food starch is much to worry about. I'd worry more about the volume of some of the artificial sweeteners and other chemical food additives. But there is certainly no requirement to consume puddings. I pretty much stopped using them after a few months in P2 because I got to the point where I questioned why I continued to "need" non-nutritive calories and opt for more fruit and healthier snacks instead even if they exceed the "guidelines". It's just a personal choice with which way you want to go with it really. |

| Hi to all! I started SB on June 1 and lost 10 lbs in phase 1. I was totally psyched for phase 2...a little too psyched it turned out LOL. I added too many grains (I LOVE bread, rice and pasta!) too quickly and stalled. Figured it out here, thanks to everyone, and have lost 4 more pounds in the past week and a half...loving life on the beach! Hubby also doing it, he has lost 36 pounds since June 1 (he stayed on phase 1 an extra week or two and got VERY sick because of it...I told him so...) but all is well now and he's doing things the right way. I've been feeling I need to add exercise to my regimen and reading the posts on the new supercharged book I see that I'm right...the problem is finding the time... :? Anyway just wanted to add my two cents...keep on keeping on! |
