I moved onto Phase 2. Kinda.. I added in 7 grain cereal. Was having old symptoms and pains.. Think I have an allergic reaction to wheat. So took that out. Added small amount of carrots in. Seemed to be fine. Since the cereal had oats in it I am going to add that in today. I need something else for breakfast. I think I will be fine on it
Went to the movies last night. Knew my bf would get popcorn, so I brought my own. Maybe one cup. After eating it I got the same kind of pains and GERD flare up like I did with wheat and then some. I have decided to no longer eat that.
I woke up in the middle of the night with hunger pains and had to eat.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I dont know if I am even transitioning into Phase 2 right. My next thing to add is strawberries and that will be early next week. |

It sounds like you're transitioning correctly, by adding 1 item and then seeing how your body reacts. You're getting some pretty clear signals on what not to add.
If several days of oats works for you, then go ahead and try adding the strawberries as well. |

Well you could review the advice on transitioning sticky thread if you haven't found it yet! ;)
Also carrots are not a new food group. They are just part of the veggies list that is expanded in P2. (they aren't even a starchy veggie like sweet potatoes or winter squashes.) You've always had veggies in P1. Including carrots in your P2 veggies is still just veggies. It isn't like "adding" fruits and grains as part of the P2 transition. It shouldn't take the place of adding those things. |

I am good with oats. I will add strawberries in a couple of days. I found some crispy brown rice cereal that I will try next after the strawberries.
Thanks for the advice on the carrots. I was not quite sure about that. |
