I'm taking some new medication that has made me REALLY sick today... :?
I'm going to cut the dosage back, but for now I still have to deal with today (and maybe tomorrow if it takes a while to level out).
I am having trouble not beating myself up over my eating in the last two days. I haven't cheated at all... but I haven't been eating enough. Yesterday I managed two pieces of turkey bacon and two eggs in the morning... then it got to be 8PM before I ate again. Today I ate turkey bacon (no eggs, couldn't stomach them) and a handful of almonds- probably double the SBD recommendation but I was at work and needed a "go to" something to graze on throughout the day to shut my stomach up a little. Then just now (around 11:30PM) I ate a pickle spear and a half, a couple of bites of that sliced canadian bacon lunchmeat, and... maybe the equivalent of 1/2 an egg scrambled with ricotta before I gave up.
How do you deal when plans just don't go along as well as they should? I am feeling really guilty at the moment. How aggravating. |

You don't need to feel guilty. Do what you can do. Take care of your health first. If the medication is making you feel sick, then eat what you can. Make sure you're hydrated, drink not only water but other fluids.
It you need to graze during the day, then do so, as long as you eat anything from the approved list to keep your sugar level.
Some people funcion better eating small meals rather than a sit-down meal. Maybe when your medication is "settled" you're feel better and then you can eat more "normal" meals.
Take care, |

I completely agree with AMI.
I am just now getting over a cold. My appetite was messed up for a couple days. The main reason I got as much liquids as I did was that I was drinking hot stuff to keep me warm because I was constantly cold. During the worst of it, the only veggies I wanted were corn and peas. needless to say, I didn't eat enough veggies for 2 days.
On days like that, you've just got to do the best you can.
and yep, sometimes you gotta snack on too many nuts to get yourself through the day. There is no harm done if you go over the nut allotment one day.... just as long as you don't make a habit of it. When I go over the nut allotment one day, I then try to stay under it the next day or couple of days.... that way it all balances out.
Hope you start feeling better soon! |

Thanks.
I am happy with my weight loss so far but NOT happy with being this sick... it's been 24hrs since I took the last dose of meds (going to stop them entirely, this is crazy) and I still feel like garbage. And now I have a migraine.
I was down 2lbs this morning from yesterday and another 2lbs from this morning to now... weird. I don't normally hop on the scale that much but I was about to crawl into the bathtub for comfort purposes and since it was right there... |
