I couldn't even make it the full 2 weeks of phase 2!!!
My willpower is weaker than the side of the Titanic!
On day 12 I ate half a dish of sweet potato fries yesterday and ate a full slice of pizza today.
This sucks so bad and I'm beating myself up.
But as far as salvaging the SB diet - what do I do now? Do I move on and keep going? do I need to re-start phase 1 for another 2 weeks?
I know that I DON'T want to give up alltogether so I can use some help please  |

No, you count it as a slip and move on. The only damage you have done is to your thinking.
We have all been there and will be there again. We are not perfect.
It was one day out of the 12. Be proud of the 11.
If it concerns you enough to admit it then this proves you are in the right frame of mind and that you do want to lose this weight.
Remember it is a lifestyle and soon will be second nature to you.

Heyyyyy! Don't beat yourself up! Sometimes I feel like a failure as a mother (don't we all) but ya just can't give up!
The reason this first two weeks is so difficult, is because it is all about 'battling' your cravings! Keep going till you got it licked!
Besides, you didn't fail. You SLIPPED, that's all! Come on, we have a little ways to go and you'll make it up!
Appease your guilt and go get on the treadmill. Do something that will even it out in your mind, and then continue on! (Dr. A says the same thing in the book. This is not a one or two or three strikes and you're OUT kind of diet.) |

| Failure only occurs when you quit trying. Practice self-compassion and making better choices. It's a life long journey, not a 2 week event. Keep moving forward. |

Thank you so much everyone!
It feel better to hear that I didn;t mess up totally- it was more MY own anger at not having more willpower.
I ended up mowing my lawn at night to work off some of the calories- not big gain (or loss on the scale this am so I'm ok with that)
I'm about to start phase 2 tomorrow and hopefully having some whole grains back in my life will appease me.
Desserts still are my weakness but I have yet to try the BB brownies
Thank you again- and I apologize for any overdramatic/ self-flaggelating tone in my first post. I know no one likes a whiner  |
