Yes - 1 Tbsp of regular mayo or 2 Tbsp of light is one serving of good fat - as much as you should eat at a meal. Don't use the fat-free kinds. |

What else can you put in tuna salad to jazz it up. I hate fish, but thought I might be able to eat tuna salad.

I add garlic salt to my tuna fish. It adds a wonderful splash of flavor to the otherwise bland fishyness.

Some people like to add chopped dill pickle or sf sweet relish (Mt. Olive makes this). I've also had it with chopped celery and red pepper. Try adding things that YOU like and experiment with it! As long as it's on the P1 list, you can add whatever you want.

I often add a splash of vinegar to tuna to eliminate the fishy flavor and dice up onions, celery and peppers to give it some kick.

What about a little splash of Italian dressing or chopping up your daily allowance of nuts and throwing them in there? :) Gives it a little bit of texture!
