Yea! The Daisy Sunshine Gals!
It sounds like we all are off to a great start - I've been doing great too! I started Sunday and I've lost 3.2lbs so far! I'm not stressing about what I "have" to make - I went shopping on Sunday for the whole week. I got plently of Chx, Turk, mega veggies & low-fat / sugar-free everything... so now, I just pop into the kitchen and just make whats there!
If you hate the "cooking" part like I do..maybe this will help you too!!
Tonight when we (my husband is a trained chef) however, WE prepare dinner tonight we will grill/broil 3 breasts of chicken, a salmon filet and 4 slices of turkey loins (twice the amount as you normally would so we have our lunch already to go in the morning.)
Then we grab our mid-morning snack and off to work we go!
Chicken recipe for dinner, lean grilled turkey for lunch and smoked salmon for our mid-afternoon snack when we get home (all prepared the night before)
This is a great alternative to sitting down and watching television. It keeps you up and moving a little more than usual - burning extra calories! It is also a great way to connect with your partner and it takes all the guess work out of what you have to make for lunch, snacks etc....
Great summer nights make the perfect time to walk it off and get spend more quality time connecting with family. |

Quote: Daisy Sunshine Gals
I thought I would give us a name.
Something bright, cheery and hopeful.
Just as the daisy reaches for the sun so we are as well.
Afternoon Daisy Sunshine Gals,
Great ideas for those that love to cook.
You can do so many things to get up and move.
How about changing the TV manually?
I bought myself a hula hoop....anyone remember those?
Have a great night and snack smart.
Thanks for starting our thread.
Don't forget to invite the others over! |

Morning Daisies,
What's for breakfast?
Are you loving your V8 juice? I don't care for it so I have tomato juice....isn't this scare from the tomatoes something?
Do you think we need to be accountable by having a certain weigh-in day?
My Metal Monster
I step on him thinking I am in control
He laughs at me and provides me with woe
Numbers that make ME growl and cringe
When I think about going on a binge
I feel like throwing him away
But he has become my reluctant friend
With me through thick and thin
He may be a metal monster, but
he is MY METAL MONSTER!
Let me know what you think about having a weigh in. We can even have a seperate thread just for this.
Have a great day, Daisies. |

I love the idea of a weigh in day! I'm doing good so far had a few week moments that I didn't cave to.
Day 2 was difficult b/c no matter what I ate I was still soo hungry which is abnormal for me. I just allowed myself a larger snack instead of the raw zucchini sticks and cheddar cheese stick being the only thing I ate for snack I added some almonds too. Then for dessert I had 2 fudgesicles b/c of my choco craving it worked and I made sure to go to bed early that night.
Day 3was rough b/c my 2 1/2 yr old son is sick, I took him to the dr. yesterday and he has a really bad double ear infection, and this morning he woke up with Pink eye. So I'm tending to a sick toddler and last night I had a migraine and the last thing I wanted to do was cook dinner. I came very close to calling my hubby and asking him to grab some take out on the way home but I took some medicine and came on here and talked for a little while, it helped me get thru wanting to cheat. I ended up baking some chicken, steaming some broccoli and cauliflower and heating up some canned beans. Dinner was very tasty and I didn't end up cheating!! Thank you South Beachers for the pick me up I needed! |

A weigh in day sounds good to me.
Punkswife- Glad to hear that you made in through. This place can be great source of support. Especially on those rough days.
Hmmm breakfast for me was a quick one. Leftover greenbean casserole from dinner. Full of veggies and some protein. 20 seconds in the micro and I was out the door. |

Hey guys, i love the idea of a weigh in day - can i suggest monday as it will keep us motivated over the weekend? (otherwise i might hit the wine lol) I am frustrated as i dont seem to be shifting too quickly even tho i know P1 isnt the weight loss phase etc. I'm not having a great week this week - i feel dead tired and grumpy so i think i need to rethink my meal plans.
Hmmm maybe a nice molton brown bath might cheer me up actually lol!
Anyway, let me know how you're all doing?

Hi Everyone!
How is everyone doing so far?
Count me in on a weigh-in for Mondays (or any other day)
I weigh myself every morning (digital scale)
(yeah, I know "they" tell ya not too.. but I find it very encouraging watching even the ounces drop off)
I also follow a eating chart for the first 2 weeks to remind me when to eat and what I am eating - since the first two weeks are so important, it helps me stand accountable.
Most importantly I made a "measurement log"
starting from my neck down to my knees- lol
honestly, I measure around my neck, upper chest, under breast, 1st roll, etc.... let me know if you want more info...
This is my best friend!!
I only chart on Mondays - you would be amazed how great it feels to record each inch coming off!
Last time I was on SBD I recorded losing 34 lbs and over 34 inches over my entire body!
Woooohoooo...thanks for being here! I've lost 3lbs since we started Sunday!
I notice a big time zone difference with my postings...where is everyone from?
I'm in Sedona, Arizona!

I'm in with the group! I started Monday but didn't weigh in until Wednesday. I was too scared to step on the scales. I was surprised that I didn't weigh as much as I thought I did. Today is showed I had lost a lb. so perhaps since Monday I have lost a tiny bit more. Just being the optimist!
I'm Deb from 20 minutes east of Tulsa. :D |

| Hello ladies. Today was my second day on Phase 1. Honestly I feel very weak by the end of the day. I am not hungry, but just weak. Hopefully the feeling will go away in a couple of days. Today I was on a mini-conference with lunch and cocktail afterwards. I did very well. For lunch I've got green salad with cucumbers, then I took sandwich with meat and ate only meat, leaving the bread. Cocktail I decided to skip because was not sure if they would have anything for me to eat. For breakfast I have scrambled eggs with zuccini and tomato. I do not weight myself, so I am not sure how I am doing. I decided to do weight ins only once a week. |

Good Morning Daisies from cold Colorado!
Having a plan whether it be on paper or in your head is a must.
Today is store day for me and actually I can't wait to see what I can buy and what ingredients I can use.
Surprise of all is I tried and liked squash! This will be on my list as well as celery.
Prices are getting so high at the stores. I can remember bread for a dime! (good thing we can't have it...AND bread is one of my favorites) Old aren't I lol.
Good luck to all of the Daisies today.
Make a plan and enjoy your decisions. |

I am doing all right, but I am constantly hungry. I have really struggled with sugar cravings for over 3 years. I'm not sure if it's just cravings making me feel like I'm hungry or what. I am eating plenty and eating often, but it never seems like enough. Part of it just may be from my daily workout. I will certainly be ready to get out of P1! I am weighing on Sundays on a scale that measures body fat % along with weight, so I'll post mine on Monday with everyone else.
Have a great day all!
:-),
