Hello everyone,
I am on my second day of SB and loving it so far......but I seem to be struggling with new lunch and snack ideas! Does anyone have any good ideas. I just don't want to get bored eating the same old thing everyday. Any suggestions would be wonderful!!!!!!!! THANKS :D |

the turkey or ham lettuce roll ups are very good too!
its has been 100 degrees here in MD and so i have been having an occasional SF/FF popscicle. (staying with in the 75-100 cal for sweets)
I just bought hummus too as a veggie dip. pretty good!
hang in there! some one said on this forum that this diet takes a bit of planning. try planning the night before. |

Just as an FYI, I am TERRIBLE at looking at a list and trying to figure out what to eat. I can't put a menu or meal plan together to save my life. My brain just doesn't work that way.
ESPECIALLY in this new Way of Eating, I almost feel LOST! But, I was able to do something very simple to figure it all out (thanks to this forum)
I looked at the recipe section, "what I ate today" section, and just general conversations on the board to get ideas. And then, I had to write them down so I wouldn't forget.
Lord help me, I lost my menu. Thankfully, I had posted my full weeks' schedule including snacks on this forum (whew) so I had to find it and print it out. I lost it AFTER I went grocery shopping * very detailed list * with full meal plans. And STILL couldn't remember what I was going to eat! Not even looking in the fridge gave me a clue.
I feel your pain! I will try to help and give you a few ideas of I've had so far. Unfortunately, I can't tell you what I have planned later in the week because I don't have my list handy!
Quartered Tomatoes
Celery w/Laughing Cow Herbed Cheese
Boiled Eggs
Lettuce wraps (greenleaf lettuce with turkey and cheese - also roast beef and cheese)
PICKLES! Mmmmm
And I think that's all I've had this week. Welcome to the "where did I put my keys?" club, also known as ADD!!!

| One of my favs is pickled asparagus rolled in lunch meat. It's very good and a easy snack to eat on the go. I also roll pickles this way too, the sandwhich slices work well. Sometimes I will put a slice of fat free cheese in there for something different. |

Some Phase 1 snacks.....
Celery sticks with hummus or peanut butter
Raw veggies
Dry roasted or boiled edamame (green soy beans)
Roasted chickpeas http://www.southbeach-diet-plan.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19927
Cheese crisps http://www.southbeach-diet-plan.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5256
Turkey pepperoni chips http://www.southbeach-diet-plan.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=70724 (really good with a wedge of Laughing Cow Light cheese!)
"Popcorn" Cauliflower http://www.southbeach-diet-plan.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=53211 (the roasted cauliflower recipe is really good! I break it into small pieces when I roast it btw.)
Also, if you're finding it hard to plan meals, snacks, etc.
The "Meal Plan Guidelines" might be helpful.
Meal Plan Guidelines from SBD site - portion sizes, etc.
