| Hello everyone. I am new to SB and was not aware that Phase 1 is not for nursing mothers. Anyway...I have been on phase 1 for a week and am going to start phase 2 early because I am still nursing my daughter. I just had a question as to how to go about it. I have lost 6.5lbs in the 1 week of phase 1. I am afraid to go hog wild into phase 2. Any other nursing moms out there or anyone with some good advice feel free to say hello! And a hello to all my new friends I will make in phase 2! Hope everyone has a great day. :D |

I just posted the same thing elsewhere. I am starting on phase 2, but I am afraid that it won't work without doing phase 1 to stop my carb addiction.
I'm worried I will be craving so many carbs I will pig out on whole wheat bread and dark chocolate. |

don't have dark chocolate or WW bread in the house....solves that one!!! at least until you feel more secure about your control
Seriously, leave off the breads/pastas as long as possible, focus on real grains. I posted an article from Elle Kreiger in general chat today that has some ideas for introducing whole grains, as well as the stickies at the top of this discussion. I think many of us get focused on BREAD as the starch of choice and really...once you go without it for a while...I don't think it's so special anymore! I like to keep ww buns and pita in the fridge or freezer for special meals [rare hamburger or pita chips for guacamole] but I try not to make them part of everyday meal planning. |
