My son graduated from High School yesterday and we threw a small party for the family. I decided to use this as a celebration day and not worry about what I am eating (a cheat day if you will)
Big mistake. Between the cake and the carby side dishes and the munchies.........and one too many glasses of wine. It just wasn't worth it.
I woke up feeling icky-physically and mentally . made it to the gym and had a pretty good work out. I took a long run. I sat in the steam room for a while and I am downing water like there is no tomorrow.
I am feeling better but just be warned......sometimes those cheat days just aren't worth it. I am not craving today but I am just going to move on/move up and feel happy about our son's milestone. |

My youngest son graduated from HS yesterday. I chose to not celebrate it with food/alcohol. I'm so glad I made that choice... because you are right, it's just NOT worth it. I woke up feeling recharged, energetic and strong. :)
Congrats on your son's graduation. Feels good, doesn't it? |
