Hi guys, im getting nervous. im starting p2 tomoroww. On saturday my friend is having a party and she just told me what shes having heres the list she gave me so far:
sausage and peppers
hero
chicken cutlets
baked ziti
chicken parm
meanwhile, at first it was suspossed to be a bbq and now its not anymore!!! im upset ....what are some legal choices I can make??? |

hopefully i can find salad and fruit and it wont be so bad....and ill be able to find something.....
im really upset now. i wille at before i go and just claim to not be that hungry.
she is a good friend but i dont feel comfortable asking :(
and veggies, i mean theres gotta be veggies and salad right??? |

| maybe you could offer to bring a veggie casserole or a salad or both if nothing is planned in that dept.? Of that list, I'd go with the sausage and peppers probably. The extra fat will help you feel fuller, you can add lots of peppers for veggies and it will be lower glycemically than anything else being offered and won't mess with your blood sugars as much. Or either of the chicken options and try and remove as much of the coating as possible but that's "tackier" than just having a sausage and peppers without a hero roll. |

yeah thats what i was thinking to go with too. i dont eat much at other people's houses anyway, and i can eat the inside of the hero maybe.

| Actually, I don't think it's a rude thing to bring a dish. I find the opposite - I never go anywhere empty handed and have never been offended if someone did or didn't bring anything. I'd make a huge salad with romaine, chicken, tomatoes, cukes, black olives (a few slices), almonds, some peeled orange slices cut up and some dressing that is SBD friendly. Have fun! |
