DAY 1 - May 20 - 165.5 pounds - this first day of the rest of my life? I hope I can do this. I tried Adkins - yuk. I have friends and relatives on SB. I MUST get this sugar out of my diet! I'm so bloated. I've been walking and only gaining weight, so this is not a pretty picture. :(

DAY 2 - May 21 - 164.5. Hmm. Maybe it's working? However, when I did Adkins I literally lost 5 pounds in the first day! All water weight, no doubt, but at least I was more motivated. But, hey, 1 pound a day is probably healthier.

DAY 3 - May 22 - 163.5 Okay . . . I hope I'm on a pattern, here. :) But I just re-read the instructions and realized I'm doing it wrong. I didn't stay with low-fat cheese. Also, my Canadian Bacon was cured w/ sugar. Aaagh!

DAY 4 - May 23 - 162. Yea! Now I'm energized! I stopped eating the regular cheese I bought and only ate one snack of nuts today. I also re-read that I was suppose to limit nuts to 1 svg a day. :oops:

DAY 5 - Today - May 24 = 161.5. I got on the scale 3 times hoping it would say just 161, but I'm a solid 161.5. THEN I made some sugar-free pistachio (sp?) pudding and now I feel sick. It didn't even taste good, but my sugar cravings were at an all time high last night. When will they stop??? :?

they will stop soon enough .. that's the whole point of phase 1, to elimante cravings. You're still on day 5, so give yourself some time. you are doing great!

Welcome. I'm on Day 9 and I now crave bread more than chocolate, sweets, and pastries. Trust me, it gets better!

my advice is to stop thinking about it .. and concentrate on other things ... keep yourself busy and phase 1 will fly by ... trust me ;)
