I have been walking three miles a night and my hands swell up. I'm not sure why. Any idea? Also, on some other diets they have you cut back on your sodium, is that not important on SB? I am still reading the rest of the book so I may have missed it or I haven't read about it yet. Thanks

I think that's a fairly common complaint for some people.
(I've seen the same question posted here quite a few times.)

Make sure you are well hydrated before and after your walk.
You can also do some "arm circles" or hand flexing while you walking which may help.
Generally it's nothing to be concerned with.....

SB doesn't really focus a whole lot on the amount of sodium in our diet, unless you are salt sensitive.

I'd also like to say "kudos" to you on the three mile walks!! :D

Yes this is very common. Mine do the same thing. It helps to keep your elbows bent and hold your hands close to your chest and sqeeze the fingers open and close. Also. walking sticks help.
The problem is , usually ,your hands are dangling at your sides with circulation rushing to your finger tips and no muscle contractions pushing circulation back up your arms.
