Together with other fellow students at University, wehad the task to create a magazine from scratch, articles and design .. which eventually led to the printing of 5,000 copies which were distributed at University.
Here is my article scanned ... I had to cover my face cause I looked horrible!!

yes muffintop ... they are the best. it's a traditional maltese thingy for Easter ... with a lot of calories!!
If you want, PM me and I'll forward you a recipe ... but let me warn you, they are not SB friendly .. at all!! But they generate a huge business around easter time, because the tradition here goes that you bake some figolli for you and your relatives, and then on Easter Day, relatives exchange their figolli. So, for instance, I have 5 aunts/uncles with their families .. therefore we back like 7 figolli ... we keep three for ourselves ... and then give the rest to our aunts/uncles ... and in return they give us one. Its more of an exchange, rather than a gift lol. |

Yes, I do have searches in my little burb, bendy wisenheimer!!!! I wanted to hear it from the Maltese Man himself. I love marzipan. Did your Oma treat you with some lovely fruit shape delectables when growing up Rox?? I miss eating them now.
You both have the first same name-did you know that guys?????

| Yeah we discovered the name thingie a little while back. Never was much of one for marzipan actually despite the heritage. Foods that I remember as Oma's special treats were the eirkuchens of course, rice pudding and these desert waffles she made covered in powdered sugar (kind of like funnel cake in a waffle iron! ;) ), and her rabbit stew. The lemon cake in the shape of a lamb with a gumdrop eyeball she made for easter wasn't too shabby either. Her spekalatches cookies pretty much died with her too. Not sure we even know where the boards are anymore to make them. sigh... |
