| My boyfriend won't ever eat a lentil again after spending four months in the Balkans. If you just mention lentils he gets upset. LOL |

| Hehe..I live in Slovenia but my family comes from Croatia and Serbia. I don't watch the Eurovision because the muzic is generally crap but this one's ok. By far the most normal performance on Eurovision this year :D ! I watched a few minutes of the semi-finals last night and it was really weird.. |

Hi KT21 ... I was in Slovenia for Xmas and New Years ... I really enjoyed it .. especially Ljubljana .. Kranska Gora, Bled and Gorizia ... really nice places which I would love to visit again. I just love the culture ... it's very interesting when you travel to these places which are not so common .. and by that I mean .. they are not a common destination for people going on vacation (usually they tend to chose England, Italy or France)
I hear you on the eurovision .. it is crap! But Slovenia's entry was not that bad, however it didn't make it to the finals (just like Malta)
Teenibikini ... lentils is not the only food served in the balkans! I have tasted wonderful dishes which I wouldn't taste anywhere else ... and actually they are quite healthy ... cause they don't have a fast food culture like the US or Malta (yes, despite being in Europe, Malta is very much like the US when it comes to fast food!!) They enjoy a rich healthy cuisine ... (apart from the banichka or the buurek hehe) |

Well, he was there as a missionary, during the Albania-Kosovo "trouble" (I don't know if it was technically a war, or what). He slept on a balcony, in a sleeping bag, and was robbed by gypsies more than once. He was not in a position to indulge in more extravagant quisine....so it was lentils for four months. :P |
