I'ma newbie, 5'5 and about 145 lbs. I'm trying to shoot for 125 so I can wear a bikini and flaunt it!! :)
I'm trying to stay on phase 1 but it's hard, I have a really hard time with the no fruit policy :( But hopefully this diary will help me stay strong.
Are there any menus out there that people on the forum have created? I like to see what other people have eaten... :D
Thanks for reading my journal!! Please let me know if I'm eating something that's not allowed, and I'm unaware. :) |

Lost 1 lb!! I'm going on vacation this weekend ;) So I want to be slim.
B: 1 egg and 1 slice turkey bacon
S: celery and PB
L: salad with chicken
S: 1 part skim mozzarella stick
D: pork chop, green beans, salad, chicken soup
andd... chocolate nonfat frozen yogurt. is this bad? |

Posting today's plan ahead of time so I make sure to follow it...
B: two eggs scrambled with spinach and lowfat cheese
S: part skim mozzarella stick
L: rosemary chicken strips over romaine, with celery, cheese and handful of walnuts, ranch mixed with dijon mustard.
S: 2 sugar-free fudgsicles!! small packet of macademia nuts
D: flank steak and spinach. sugar-free jello with whipped topping. |

Hi there!
Just a comment. For dinner in yesterday's post you asked if nonfat chocolate frozen yogurt was bad. Are you still in Phase 1? The way that I've remembered seeing posts about yogurt is that you're allowed nonfat yogurt, but it has to be plain (not even vanilla is an option).
I'm sure a veteran can help you more, but that's what I've come to understand.

| Nonfat chocolate yogurt isn't allowed on Phase I, unless it's sugar-free. You can do lowfat yogurt but nonfat usually means they add a bunch of sugar to make it fatfree and taste ok. No sugar added lowfat is ok. |

I went on vacation for Memorial Day, and I had decided beforehand that I would just eat sensibly, and go back on SBD when I get back. Well, I got back and after eating pasta, ice cream, bbq, potatoes, etc in reasonable portions.. I didn't gain any weight!!!
...meaning the weight isn't just water weight!!
I am very encouraged by this :D
Today:
B: 1 scrambled egg with salsa and hot sauce, 1 cup green tea
S: 1 mozzarella stick
L: chicken salad
S: fudgsicle
D: steak and spinach with worcestershire sauce, jello with whipped topping |

Today has been pretty good so far. I'm following my guidelines but I ate an extra fudgsicle and accidentally ate half a grape in my make-it-yourself chicken salad. Also, I ate two handfuls of nuts.
Honestly I feel like this diet isn't so bad during the summer. I definitely don't feel as hungry when it's hot out and there's a lot of positive motivation in the summer (everyone in swimsuits!!) I just really really want to feel good about myself... :) |

| You know what's really good? Nonfat yogurt with a dash of almond extract and a packet of Splenda. I'm getting sick of eggs, so this might be my new on-the-go breakfast... |

Ugh...
Even though I adhered SBD today, I know I ate waaaay too much.. I ate:
-5 quiche cups :shock: :shock: :shock:
-1 fudsicle
-1 cup yogurt with almond and splenda
-5 pistachios
-chile-lime chicken salad with guacamole and salsa
I'm scared to weigh myself tomorrow... |

^^I'm a college student too! I'm near your age. Maybe we can be diet buddies :)
I cheated today and ate... half a grapefruit!! Gosh, I never thought I would feel bad about eating a grapefruit.. but brunch choices were limited :( |
