I would have a veggie plate on the appetizer menu!! If you put things like grilled chicken skewers, boiled shrimp, veggies - I bet people would eat it up....
We're having happy hour for my co-worker who is leaving and NOTHING on the menu is SBD friendly - the only thing on there is a salad and we're going to be at the bar, not at tables. I will probably take a baggie of my own veggies! In fact, I may take a big baggie so I actually get something to eat |

Where are you guys going?
Thats one thing I like about Austin, is there are so many places that are SBD friendly without trying. :o |

| the Fox and Hound - little English pub. I'm not much into bars - don't like the smoke and noise, so I doubt I stay long. |

| Sometimes they don't post things on the menu. When I am at a bar and my husband and friends want crap food, I will ask for carrots and some ranch or bleu cheese dressing. If they sell hot wings on the menu, then chances are they will have carrots and celery sticks. They do charge me for the carrots though--$1 for about 6 large sticks, so I normally get 2 orders. |

Does a kind of roadhouse place called Skipwilly's or Fitzwilley's still exist on the N-NW side of SA? Use to see some good bands there like the Lotions, Van Wilks and Claude Morgan and of course a little 3 man band out of Austin led by SRV. ;) Some good memories of the Broadway 5050 too. What memory cells are left from that era! ;)
All bars are non-smoking in CO now. Which would be nice if I still went to them! ;) |
