Hey guys!!
So i've been on south beach for about 2 weeks and i couldnt complain bc i lost in total 7 lbs... so right away i tell my bff. And she (last week) started weight watchers. Literally over a weekend she tells me she lost a dress size (with no excerise).
Is that possible... are we all missing out on something
Please give me feed back... i'm dying to know

This one goes over people who have used WW and had success with it, and those who haven't.
From personal opinion, I would find WW annoying if I used the points system. Also, WW preaches way low fat, and you need good fats to survive. My mother used WW, and she lost some weight, but she didn't maintain it. To me, WW doesn't look very easy. |

It doesn't matter how fast you lose the weight. What matters is whether you keep it off.
I don't know how much your bff weighs, but if anyone goes down a dress size in a weekend most of it is water weight. Which is okay, but it's water loss not fat loss. That's assuming she's not exagerating, of course.
There's no magic to WW. It's based on burning more calories than you eat. And typically the fatter you are and the worse you were eating before starting a diet, the faster you'll lose in the beginning.
When I was 280, I easily lost at a rate of 4-5 pounds a week the first two months, then it slowed down as I got smaller. |
