| Way to go! It's encouraging to me to hear of your success. Do you have a journal where you post your menus? Can you give an example of what you eat in a day and the total calories? What about exercise? |

hi Alinasmommy --
congrats on getting to a size 6! that's what im hoping for (im now between 6 and 8) and i love hearing that people have gotten there!
i also just got rid of a bunch of too-big clothing. just yesterday evening I took 7 full plastic grocery bags (7 bags!) and donated them to a clothing bank for the homeless. it felt wonderful -- both being able to get rid of the 10s, and to give them away!
now all i need to do is go shopping to fill the empty space in my closet... but i'm waiting till i get to my goal!!!
cheers, mimouna |

| I went through mine too. I have 2 pairs of pants and one dress that's getting big. I gotta hit the thrift stores. I'm happy to lose the weightr. but not happy to be to poor to buy new clothes. That's supposed to be the fun part!  |

Thanks for all the words of encouragement and praise! You too will get there.
Walkin'the beach, to answer your questions:
No, I don't have a food journal but here is a pretty normal day:
bkfst: omlette (whites or egg sub.) with veggies and cheese, sometimes rolled in a whole wheat tortilla OR two of those SBD egg muffin thinggies OR 1/2c ff cottage cheese with berries or melon, a handful of Kashi cereal and about 10-15 almonds OR SBD oatmeal pancakes
am snack: V8 juice and string cheese OR apple and almonds
lunch: huge salad with lots of veggies, soem kind of protein (tuna, tofu, meat substitute), soemtimes beans, soemtimes a little bit of leftover rice
OR whole wheat tortilla with hummus, lettuce, veggies and boca burger or tofu
pm snack: veggies and hummus OR cheese and wasa crackers OR low carb yogurt with nuts OR baked tofu or tempeh wrapped in lettuce
dinner: grilled fish with lots of veggies OR some SBD recipe (I love the new cookbook) OR another big salad
pm snack #2: nuts OR SF popsicle
I have absolutely no idea how many calories I consume. Some days I am hungrier so I eat more.
I do exercise 6 days a week (I have always been a fanatic about the gym). On days that I have a hard workout I can tell I need more carbs. Also, I spoke with a personal trainer and soemtimes I even need to up my protein intake because of all my weightlifing.
Congrats to all of you that had to purge your closets as well!!! |

| Get those clothes out of the closet and get rid of them for good! You are never going to need them again. Well done! |

| For those who are getting rid of baggy clothes but not ready to buy the "goal" wardrobe yet...you can always get some "transition" clothes cheap at a thrift shop. You could even drop off the old clothes and buy the smaller ones in the same trip. |

| Congrats on retiring some of your clothes! I too just went thru my closet and got rid of most of my jeans and pants! :-) I now only have 3 pair of jeans that fit and about 3 pair of slacks that fit. Though all are starting to get loose! Man, it's a great feeling. |

| I've dropped a few more pounds and toned up a bit more. More of my clothes are loose. It's great but I need more clothes!!!! (although I am sure my husband would beg to differ! ) |
