By now I am a recognised name, and someone that is in a constant struggle, but more because of emotional goings on.
I am in the middle of a very stressful time, and while I get up every morning and start the day very well, by the evening I am clambering through the dunes of the beach. I have decided to stop beating myself up as this obviously doesnt work.
I am studying for some very hard exams, (well am just about to take 3rd one of 4 today) and know that I have been using them as excuse to eat off plan, but as I said, I am not going into beat mode. I am going to just get back up where I left off and become more finetuned about my portion control and what I am having.
I am going to use the summer as time out to address major issues that I have with my eating. I have the Beck diet solution, which I was doing great on, but because I had so much other studying going on I have put it to the side, but am raring to go now, and also got the supercharged, and like the looks of the exercise. I have got a yogalates dvd and plan to do this as my alternate exercise. Redrox, I know that you have the knowledge about yoga, do you think this is a good exercise for someone with back issues?
Anyway, can anyone tell me if no sugar added muesli is ok. It has wholewheat flakes, whole oats, nuts and small amount of raisins, (about 2-3 for half cup), and skimmed milk powder. I think this sounds ok, but note, that I will make my own mix when this is finished.
So, instead of going onto a p1 again, I am going to try to eat nice and cleanly for a week, with 2 servings of grain, - either rye bread, or 1/2 cup muesli, and brown rice. I am also having fruit, mostly berries, and then maybe a nectarine or pear. 1 day at a time, 1 week at a time.
Sorry for the rambling. Prob should have put most of this in my journal, but not many seem to look there!!
Thanks.

Just addressing this question. if those are all the ingredients, it looks fine for P2. Be sure to pay attention to serving size. And, if there's more than a trivial amount of nuts, count them as part of your daily portion.

I have only been having half a cup of it, and there arent very many nuts. I have been adding strawberries, but think it is not agreeing with me, as I am suffering acid reflux after eating it. I tried having a protein with it, as in hb egg, and this seemed to exacibate it. I actually just dont think that oats agree with me. I am going to try with ff yog tomorrow. Thanks Magna

FWIW, yogalates is a fairly broad brush. Certainly there will be parts that won't affect your back at all. But for those exercises that deal specifically with back/core strengthening, I would just go very slowly and pay very close attention to the verbal ques for safety sake and pay attention to your own body since you are not doing it in front of a qualified instructor who can watch you and point out alignment issues or provide modified options. You can "hurt" yourself just as easily in yoga or pilates as in weight training or any other form of exercise if done improperly. And I'm not qualified to provide much more feedback than that myself! ;)
