Now what?
Do I start phase one again?
I feel horrible because I've worked so hard to lose these twenty pounds and I feel like I blew it all today.
What do I do?
Do I just shake it off? |

| generally yes if it was just a bad day or a bad meal. if you've been off plan for a few weeks, then starting over makes more sense, but try not to look at P1 as the punishment phase or beat yourself up too badly. remember longevity and consistencey will win out over perfection in the long run. |

I didn't fall off, per se, but I noshed on a lot of nuts and crackers.
I feel so guilty. :( |

just keep on going.... don't restart
i hugely believe in a clean phase 1 but folks that can't seem to get through it and keep restarting are hurting themselves.
as RedRox said... consistency and longevity are more important than perfection. |

Don't stress over it. Stressing will just put pressure on you and actually increase your odds of falling off the wagon again.
This plan is designed to allow you to fall off occasionally. A short term lapse will mean pretty much nothing in the long term. We have all been where you are and we all will be there again. Get back on, work hard and the results will come. |

To me, the guilt is more detrimental than the actual nuts, cookies, or whatever. I know for me, when I feel guilty about something, I get more wrapped up in what I can't do and it makes me unsuccessful in the long run.
I've also found - speaking for me personally - that if I cheat a little bit, I eventually become more and more permissive, until I am no longer following the SBD at all.
I think shaking it off - and dropping the guilt - is your best option. |

guilt is neither a positive nor healthy emotion to create for yourself or have to deal with. self-compassion is generally a better one to work with... |
