Everyone is different and you'll have to find out what works for you. It also depends on what you're reintroducing. Either way, you should pair the starchy carb or the fruit with a protein to balance the impact and avoid cravings.
Some people start with a low GI fruit like some berries, you can have them at any time for any of your meals or snack. For some people, fruits as breakfast will give them cravings.
Or you could start with some old-fashion oatmeal, again have some cheese with it, and see how you react to it during the day.
The secret is to be flexible, if it doesn't work, then make some adjustments and try again.
